Yesterday I learned of Dr. Sue Johnson’s passing from cancer. I was shocked and saddened as she was an amazing person, the founder of Emotionally Focused Therapy and her theory and approach to couple therapy changed my how I worked with couples. She was a pioneer in learning about emotions and attachment and how these affect the interactions in couples and their relationship. Her trainings and life long work have profoundly influenced how I work with couples and she will be missed. # mentalhealth
