Who am I, if I’m not the runner. Not the one who could always push through.

Why does my body feel unfamiliar, in ways sleep and supplements don’t fix.

Am I aging, or am I disappearing.

No one prepares you for this decade. Not your doctor. Not your yoga teacher. Not your mother.

I’ve asked myself every one of these questions. Some of them more than once.

If any of these have crossed your mind, you are not falling apart. You are becoming someone new.

Comment ME if this is you.

Messages from Argentina: it’s winter here and so cold! My brain and body are just beginning to adjust… but alas, There’s no bad coffee in Buenas Aries. This city is big and gritty and bustling but also has so much soul. They do things their own way —Today is a powerful day; a solar eclipse day. It’s a day of deep listening. 🌕 Pause. Breathe. Repeat.

Somewhere between the takeoffs and landings, I keep coming back to this thought: our stories, and our lives are seldom linear. Midlife and its’ ups and downs have taught me to view detours as an inevitable part of the unfolding. They are the story. And I have a feeling that what they will reveal will be more generous and rich and complex than anything I could write for myself. Where are you in your story right now? Tell me below :)👇

Somewhere between the takeoffs and landings, I keep coming back to this thought: the story is never linear. Midlife has taught me that the ups and downs of this season are not a detour. They are the story. And I have a feeling that what lies ahead is more generous than anything I could write for myself. Where are you in your story right now? Tell me below :)👇

I hear this alot; that strength is the answer to instability and I get why people believe it. It sounds logical. But it’s not the whole picture. It’s why so many people do all the right strength work and still feel like their joint can’t be trusted.

Your joints are lined with sensors called proprioceptors. They tell your brain where your body is in space, and whether a movement is safe. After an injury or surgery, those signals get scrambled. Your brain starts guarding the joint. It braces. It hesitates. It tightens. Even after the tissue has healed.

That guarding isn’t a strength problem. It’s a trust problem between your brain and your body.

I don’t just build strength with my clients. I build strength, motor control, and proprioception. So the body isn’t just capable. It actually believes it’s safe.
Do you believe this too???
Want the full breakdown on how to rebuild that trust? Comment GUIDE and I’ll send my free guide right over!!
