Scribes are trained in medical documentation and assist
the physician by working side by side
with them throughout their shift. The primary goal of a Scribe, is to increase the efficiency and productivity of the physician they are working with. Therefore, allowing the Doctor to focus on what is most important, the Patient.
A Scribes primary responsibility is compiling health information and entering it into the electronic health record. Scribes learn to anticipate the needs of the Physician and facilitate the flow of care. As a Scribe, you must be discreet, tactful, and modest in your duties. This job requires good judgement, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivated. You must be adaptable and versatile in a fast paced environment. You will be fully trained and prepared to succeed in this exciting career!
Qualifications
Must be at least 20 years of age.
Must have some medical background.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Proficient in spelling, typing, and writing skills.
Understand basic medical terminology, as well as Anatomy & Physiology.
Able to have a flexible schedule working days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be dependable!
