Let's talk about stress.
The dictionary defiines it as a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.
Taking that even a step further stress happens when you are trying to control something outside of yourself. It's a feeling of dis ease over your current circumstance. Guess what too much dis ease causes?
That's right DISEASE.
So let's question it: What do we have "control" over? - Not much really. Only what WE think, what WE say or what WE do. That's it.
We can have INFLUENCE over other things like our jobs, our families, our health etc but we can't control any of those things.
So the next time you're feeling stressed, step back and ask yourself is this in my control or only my influence?
If it's not something that you, think, feel see or do then the next question should be how can I let go of my need to control this situation and what can I do to support myself to ease what I am feeling.
