Our AEL 117 crews worked hard this week to make sure we visited various Emergency Departments in our community to show our appreciation for our ER Nurses!! AEL 117 provided some goodies for both day and night shift ED crews as a small token of gratitude for their dedication, compassion, and commitment to patient care. 🩺

We are proud to work alongside these exceptional healthcare professionals who play such a vital role in the communities we serve.

Jace completed his first patient flight on Thursday, and has flawlessly completed several already! We are very excited to have him join our team. Presenting his wings is Mitch Upchurch, Flight Paramedic.

This past Saturday, our team had the opportunity to attend a Touch-a-Truck at Truett’s Chick-fil-A alongside Gwinnett Fire & Gwinnett PD — as well as several other agricultural resources within the community. 🤝

🐔 We want to thank Truett's Chick-Fil-A Grayson for hosting this special event & for feeding our crew! It was an honor to spend time with the community & show them what we do here at AEL 117! ❤️

🚒 Another special thank you to Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services Engine 8 for being our ground contact for this LZ & for working with us to have a safe landing! 🙌🏼

Yesterday’s scene flight was a great example of that teamwork in action. A huge -THANK YOU- to the incredible crews of Loganville PD, Loganville FD, and Walton Co. EMS who secured the LZ, managed the scene, and provided excellent patient care! 🚓🚒🚑🚁

Our crews rely entirely on your groundwork to do our jobs safely and quickly. Your coordination, rapid patient preparation, and communication made yesterday’s critical handoff seamless! ✨

Please help us in recognizing and congratulating Ebie, one of our flight nurses, as she has passed her CFRN! The first year of working in this environment can be tough, challenging, and uncomfortable! Ebie has brought much talent, skills, and clinical knowledge to 117! Certification exams are difficult and stressful but Ebie excelled and is now a certified flight nurse! A lot of hard work has gone in to her first year as a flight nurse and she is continually advocating for her patients and ever learning and seeking out education! Congrats, Ebie! So very proud of you! 🫶🏼❤️
