Couple angle shots from recently.
Making sure the angle of your piercing is going perpendicular through the anatomy that is pierced is IMPERATIVE to a piercing if it’s going to heal well. Lots of time we see fancy shots of jewellery and curations but very rarely do we actually understand the skill that goes behind a piercing that’s going to heal well.
If the jewellery sits on an angle, it applies more pressure to the entry and exit of the piercing, causing bumps, scarring, issues with healing and jewellery that sits at a weird angle.
Many people see piercings as non permanent when in reality, no matter what, getting a piercing will permanently alter your body whether or not you keep it.
When choosing to permanently alter your body in a way you’d like it to be, making sure you research your piercer, that they use jewellery from verified sources and equipment in line with the guidelines set by the APP and local health departments and keep up to date on their first aid and BBP training is a good start!
