You've probably been told to feel your emotions. But what if you're already feeling too much?

Some people avoid the emotion completely. Others feel so much, it becomes reactive, and they'll say, "but I am feeling. I feel everything."

There's a difference between feeling an emotion and being in the reaction of it.

Try replacing "feel it" with "acknowledge it." Because even when you're already feeling everything, there can still be resistance underneath it, thoughts like "what's wrong with me" or "I shouldn't feel this way." That's still resistance.

The emotion doesn't need more feeling. It needs to be acknowledged.

Today is extra special.

Look around this space. The people who keep coming back, the friendships that formed in the waiting room, the breakthroughs that happened quietly on the tables, the laughter, the tears, the hard seasons and the beautiful ones.

None of that was an accident.

It exists because two women believed that healing could go deeper, and that there could be a space where people feel safe enough to slow down, reconnect, and become more of themselves. Everything you feel in this room started as their vision.

That is their ripple. And it reaches so much farther than they probably realize.

So this week, help us love them up. Wish them a happy birthday, give them a hug, tell them what they mean to you.

Happy Birthday, Drs. Kira and Suzanna

We love you BIG.đź’™

Mena came to Twin Waves carrying a lot. Neck pain and stiffness that had settled in, low energy that never seemed to lift, and a level of stress that had become part of her everyday life.

She started Network Spinal care, hoping it could help her find her way back to herself.

Today she has full mobility in her neck, and the pain that used to be there is completely gone.

But what keeps her coming back isn't only the physical relief.

"It relaxes my nervous system, reconnects me to my body, the universe, God, and forces me to breathe and stop thinking."

She says the whole office carries something with it too, a kind of positivity and energy that meets her the second she walks through the door.

So grateful for you, Mena!

Sometimes life gives you one big thing… and then suddenly all the little things start feeling big too.

I’m in one of those phases right now.

There’s been a lot of emotion around Winston and what’s happening with his leg. And then the AC breaks. Something gets forgotten at the store. Work things come up.

Things that normally wouldn’t throw me out suddenly do.

And I think this is important to talk about because this happens to all of us. Even when you have the tools. Even when you understand what’s happening in your nervous system.

In those moments, “just feel your emotions” might not actually be what you need. Because you may already be feeling so much.

Instead, try changing feel to acknowledge.

Okay, I’m overwhelmed right now.
This is affecting me more than it normally would.
There’s a lot going on.

You’re not resisting what’s there, but you also don’t have to let the emotion pull you further into the reaction.

Acknowledge it. Give yourself a little space. And ask:
What’s the next best step?

We all go through phases like this. The work isn’t about never getting thrown out, it’s about learning how to recognize what’s happening and support yourself when you do.

Our hearts are so full after Immersion Day.

It’s honestly hard to put into words the amount of connection that happens when we all come together for an intentional purpose. Not only to heal and be present and transform and awaken, but really, it’s the connection with each other.

The field expands when that happens.

We all leave with our cups filled, and what’s so special is how far reaching that becomes. How we leave that day and then bring it into our families, our relationships, our work and everyone else we come into contact with.

And one of the biggest things we noticed was actually the integration afterward.

Because it really is so far beyond just one day.

In the sessions and entrainments back at the practice, things just felt more clear. The strategies that were emerging through people’s spines were more clear. And then people would come into the practice, see someone they had shared Immersion Day with, and there was this connection that was still there.

The community that has been built truly feels like family, and that is long lasting.

We’re just so grateful to every single person who was there and to this community for showing up the way you do.

It was magical. It was healing. It was all the things. 🤍

So you're great under pressure. Big decisions, no problem. But ask what you want for dinner and suddenly you're stuck.

It's not that you're indecisive. Your nervous system has been making decisions all day just to keep you upright. By the time it gets to the small stuff, there's nothing left to make the call with.

That's a body that's been carrying too much for too long.

That's what we help you get back.

You've probably heard a lot about regulating your nervous system, calming it down, "healing" it.

But a nervous system stuck in defense mode can actually take that message and run it through override. It tries even harder to fix itself, to heal, because that's the only way it knows to finally feel safe. And that effort can backfire, chasing every tool that promises to calm it down, without ever actually calming down.

A nervous system that starts to truly heal learns something different first. It learns to do less.

You might go through a shutdown phase. Sleeping more. Not feeling much of anything at first. And then, looking back, you notice the pain has eased. The reactive patterns don't show up the way they used to. That's a real sign of nervous system healing, not more effort, less rushing.

Learning to do less without the guilt.

Only once your system has that capacity does it start to grow again. Sustainably. Non-reactive. Slow paced. Grounded.

This is the work we do here. We help your nervous system learn to operate from a relaxed state, through gentle touch that cues your body's operating system that there's a different way to function.

If you're curious how your own nervous system is doing, we're offering one day only, a 25-minute session with our Drs to find out.

Limited spots. Link in bio.

08/07/2026

We don't guess how your nervous system is doing. We measure it.

Muscular tension. Temperature differences. Heart rate variability. These patterns show up in the body long before you have words for them, which is why "I'm fine" and a stressed nervous system can both be true at the same time.

If you keep being told everything looks normal but something still feels off, your body might be telling a story nobody has measured yet.

This month we're offering a Free Spine Check.
