The unsung hero’s of were the support pups that were present this week!

🐾 3 Ways Service Dogs Can Help People Living with Parkinson’s disease

• Reduce anxiety and provide emotional comfort
• Encourage daily movement, routine, and social engagement
• Assist with everyday tasks and increase confidence

A well-trained service or support dog can be more than a companion — they can be an important part of living well with Parkinson’s. I was only able to capture a few but there were many serving this amazing population! 💙

So honored to be able to collaborate with these amazing women!!

💪✨ These incredible women are out here representing InMotion (and people with PD) at in Phoenix and we couldn't be more proud! 🌵🧠

Left to right — InMotion CEO Cathe Schwartz; speech-language pathologist, educator, advocate, and InMotion coach Amy Larocca, MA, CCC-SLP; Dr. Elizabeth Stiles, Director of the Nonprofit Administration Program at John Carroll University; and InMotion Co-Founder Dr. Karen Jaffe!

Brilliant, passionate, dedicated — and making a difference for the Parkinson's community every single day. This is what InMotion looks like on a global stage! 🌍❤️

We are so proud of these women and everything they bring to our community.

Day 2 of the brought more research and great insights into living with PD.

Yesterday was filled with:
🤝 Meeting my colleagues with Parkinson's Foundation Community Partners in Parkinson’s Care
💻 Strategies for more effectively facilitating the online support group with Parkinson & Movement Disorder Alliance
❤️ The extremely moving play “What I didn’t Say” about the Pwp and carepartner perspective throughout the journey with Yes, and X https://www.yesandexercise.org/wids
🧠 Witnessed a packed room with over 500 people listening to leading SLP researchers teaching about what cognitive changes may occur in PD and how all of us can support ourselves or our clients to live a more independent, safe and successful everyday life
🎤 Enjoyed listening to brave, talented people with Parkinson’s in the Performance Lounge share their amazing talents through standup, song, and dance.

This is my first conference where both my brain and my heart are being filled at the same time!
