The step that’s missing from most fertility nutrition guidance isn’t another meal plan.

Before we talk about what to eat, we need to make room for it (not in your belly, but in your life 🙃)

That’s something AI can’t do for you, but it’s one of the first things I walk clients through in Fueling Your Fertility.

So what’s ONE thing you could delete, delay, or delegate right now to make a little room for your health? Let me know in the comments :)

Before I was reading food journals, I was reading fabric swatches 🧵🪡

For nearly a decade in the NYC fashion industry, part of my job was meticulously reviewing fabric swatches (called strikeoffs) for print and color before they went into full production.

Turns out that same attention to detail and identifying patterns works just as well on client food logs.

If you’re tired of sorting through conflicting information and want a trained eye on YOUR plate, that’s what we do inside Fueling Your Fertility and the IVF Prep Nutrition Intensive.

This is for you if you’re someone who does better with a guide that provides accountability, feedback, and can sift through the noise so you know what’s actually important — rather than doing it alone.

The timeline and priorities shift depending on whether you’re looking at an egg retrieval vs. embryo transfer.

Either way, it’s never too late to start when you look at the big picture.

Last year I made a bucket list of fun things I wanted to do throughout the year, outside of work. The one that took me the longest to cross off? The annual Lavender Festival.

It only runs during blooming season (June-early August), and I kept missing it every year. This year I finally planned ahead: bought tickets months in advance, booked a hotel to make it a full weekend, and brought Lulu along for the ride.

We ate and sipped our way through all the delicious lavender-infused treats — lavender-rubbed burgers, goat cheese and fig pizza with lavender honey, lemonade, lattes, sourdough donuts, the works…definitely indulged more than usual! But like I tell my clients: one day isn’t going to ruin anything. It’s all in how you balance it.

Planning ahead is something I help clients with too, especially when we’re working around egg retrievals, transfers, and doctor appointments.

💭 One question that comes up a lot: “How much time do I actually need for nutrition to make a difference in my cycle?”

I’ll answer that in more depth next week, but here’s the short answer for now:

With the right nutrition, inflammation can start improving in as little as a few weeks, which can impact implantation and egg quality. But the earlier you start (ideally 3 months or more) the more likely you’ll see a difference.

Missing the season is easy to do with a festival. It’s a lot higher stakes when it’s your fertility timeline, so plan ahead if you can.

💜 Follow if you’re TTC or navigating IUI/IVF

And if you’re in Southern California, go visit the Lavender Festival at 123 Farm in Cherry Valley! There was so much to explore on the farm, and you can tell there was a lot of thought put into every detail. 10/10 recommend!

Don’t be fooled by the labels on packaged foods (“natural” / “healthy” / “low-calorie / etc). Most of that is just marketing.

The next time you’re staring down a label trying to decide if it’s fertility friendly or just fancy packaging, you’ll know exactly what to check first.

If you’ve been trying to conceive for a while and starting to wonder “what’s next?”

Or you have a diagnosis (PCOS/PMOS, endometriosis, low AMH, etc.) and know fertility treatment may be in your future, then you won’t want to miss this free event I’m hosting.

👉Fueling Your Fertility: What To Know Before IVF

In this free live interview series, I’m bringing together 6 fertility experts to share everything you wish someone had told you about navigating IUI, IVF, and the “what now?” moments when trying to conceive.

Because even with a great OB or fertility specialist in your corner, there’s only so much you can cover in a short appointment. Most women end up piecing information together through late-night Google spirals and Reddit rabbit holes (hey no judgment, I’ve been there too).

In this series, we’re having the kind of in-depth, “I-hadn’t-thought-of-that” conversations that go beyond what a typical appointment can cover:

🎙️ How to choose the right clinic and what to ask your OB before you even get a referral with and

🎙️ The emotional side of treatment — the grief, identity shifts, relationship strain — and how to actually deal with it with

🎙️ How to move your body safely during stims and retrieval (because two weeks of doing nothing isn’t your only option) with

🎙️ What the IVF process really looks like from the inside, straight from a reproductive endocrinologist

🎙️ Why nutrition is one of the most underrated tools to improve IVF outcomes, and what changes have the most impact, with yours truly ☺️

We go live June 22–26 (and it’s free!).

Register to get access to the daily recordings plus speaker freebies and bonuses — and a chance to win a free IVF Prep Nutrition Intensive (a $397 value).

“Eat for egg quality” — advice you’ve probably heard from your fertility doctor (or Googled late at night).

Listen to the end for what the research says works best.

If you’re trying to conceive — especially if you’re investing in egg freezing or IVF — these 2 things matter most to improve egg quality:

1) Balancing blood sugar
2) Lowering inflammation

If both of those are chronically off balance (which is easy to do with how most people eat today), your eggs pay the price.

The good news? What you eat can help improve your egg quality, and it doesn’t take a picture perfect diet to make a difference.
