✨ Coming off birth control doesn’t have to mean feeling like your body is completely out of control.
When I decided to come off birth control, I wanted to be intentional about how I supported my body through the transition.
Instead of waiting for symptoms to show up, I focused on my foundations first.
That looked like:
✨ Targeted supplementation based on what MY body needed
✨ Epigenetic testing to better understand my nutritional and wellness needs
✨ Hormonal testing after coming off birth control to see what was actually happening beneath the surface
✨ Laser therapy to support scalp and follicle health
✨ Cold atmospheric plasma treatments to support the scalp environment
✨ Prioritizing protein, nutrients, hydration and whole-food nutrition
✨ Supporting my body’s ability to handle stress, detoxification and hormonal changes
And honestly? I’ve experienced little to no noticeable negative effects from coming off birth control.
Now, I know everyone’s body is different, and coming off hormonal birth control can affect people very differently. My experience isn’t a guarantee for someone else.
But it reinforced something I talk about with my clients all the time:
Your body needs the right foundations before you can expect it to function at its best.
It’s not about throwing supplements at symptoms.
It’s about testing, learning what your body needs, and supporting those needs BEFORE the wheels start to fall off.
And when it comes to hair? This is especially important.
Hormonal changes can influence the hair cycle, scalp environment, inflammation, nutrient demands and so much more.
That’s why I don’t believe in looking at hair loss as just a hair problem.
Your hair can be a reflection of what’s happening throughout your body.
Support the body. Support the scalp. Support the follicle. 🌱
That’s the foundation of my approach to hair and wellness.
