Today we celebrate more than fireworks, flags, and freedom. We celebrate the great American experiment.

A nation born from courage, sacrifice, faith, grit, and the belief that people could govern themselves. A nation made up of many stories, many roots, many cultures, many voices, and many dreams. No matter how you vote, where your family came from, or what road brought you here, we are all part of this great melting pot called America.

We are not perfect. We never have been. But the beauty of America is that we have always been given the opportunity to rise. To learn. To grow. To fight for what is right. To protect what is sacred. To become better than we were yesterday.

Today I am deeply grateful for every man and woman who has served this nation. For those who wore the uniform, those who stood watch, those who sacrificed time with their families, and those who gave everything so the rest of us could live free.

Freedom is not small. It is not casual. It was paid for with courage, blood, tears, and generations of sacrifice.

May we never forget what a gift it is to live in a country where greatness is still possible. May we honor that gift by choosing unity when it is hard, gratitude when it is easy to complain, and love for this country even as we continue working to make her better.

Life was never meant to be one steady line.

It moves in waves. It rises, it falls, it pulls us under, and then somehow, it carries us back to shore.

There is balance in the becoming. There is wisdom in the waiting. There is beauty in the chaos, even when we cannot see it yet.

The ebbs teach us surrender.
The flows teach us trust.
The stillness teaches us to listen.
The storms teach us what we are made of.

We do not have to have it all figured out to still be growing. We do not have to be perfectly balanced to still be held. Sometimes life is messy, sacred, uncertain, and wildly beautiful all at once.

So today, I am choosing to honor all of it.
The calm. The chaos. The breaking. The blooming.
The deep breaths between what was and what is becoming.

Because life is not asking us to control every wave.

It is asking us to learn how to move with them.

Today we continue to harvest Calendula. Calendula is a sunshine colored flower known for its gentle healing properties. This weekend I have the honor of facilitating Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 with 11 students as they begin and deepen their journey with energy, healing, intuition, and self-awareness.

Reiki is such a beautiful tool to carry through life. It helps us slow down, listen inward, support our nervous system, clear heavy energy, and reconnect with the wisdom our bodies and spirits already hold. Whether you use it for yourself, your family, your children, your pets, your home, or eventually with others, Reiki becomes a practice of presence, peace, and intentional healing.
