✨ SOMETHING NEW IS BEGINNING… ✨

THE HOPE & HEALING BOOK TOUR

Stories of redemption. Conversations that matter. Hope for the journey.

There are some journeys you plan.

And then there are journeys you realize God has been preparing you for all along.

After years of writing, remembering, healing, praying—and finally bringing our story to the page—Gary and I are preparing to take Soulmates Redeemed and Restored: A True Story of God's Amazing Grace on the road.

And we've decided to call this journey the Hope & Healing Book Tour.

But this isn't simply about selling books.

We want to sit across from people.

We want to hear their stories.

We want to talk about what happens when life doesn't turn out the way you thought it would.

We want to talk about love, loss, trauma, faith, forgiveness, redemption and restoration.

Most of all, we want people to know that their story isn't over.

Our own story spans decades of separation, tremendous heartache, unexpected restoration and a love neither of us could have orchestrated on our own.

Now we're ready to carry that message of hope beyond the pages of our book and into communities.

Over the coming weeks, we'll begin announcing stops, events and opportunities to join us along the way.

We're also looking for libraries, bookstores, churches, community organizations, podcasts, radio programs and other groups interested in hosting us or helping bring the Hope & Healing Book Tour to their community.

And we'd love for you to come along on this journey with us. ❤️

Follow along. Share our story. Connect us with your community. And above all, please pray that wherever this road takes us, someone who desperately needs hope will find it.

The Hope & Healing journey is beginning.

Come along on the journey!
Share your pictures, your Hope & Healing moments, or simply follow the road with us using
❤️

And we can't wait to see where the road leads.

Bout four years or so ago I really began researching side effects of some antidepressants I was taking at that time. It scared me!

And let me say this right up front...it's an individuals choice on taking medications.

So when I discovered things that coulda caused me more issues, I decided to examine the natural path. That led me to gain my certification in various levels of being a holistic practitioner. I wanta help folks learn how to be more holistic. And I love learning.

Did you know our nervous system and pain levels go hand in hand?

I didn't!

I know now.

When you treat both areas you may have much better results.

I created the tinctures to help calm my nervous system and one to help ease pain. Oh my!
Honestly I was shocked when I began seeing the improvements I did.

And I realize this path is not for everyone. And that's ok. I would encourage anyone to research and explore all options.

We created Nature's Serenity AM and PM plus the pain ease tinctures. I use them daily.

I have been able to get off antidepressants and strong pain meds. And yes, my Dr knows.

Our products are natural. We do not state any cures. We do strongly believe that God created plants for various issues. We just gotta be willing to discover them.

We have our products at Serendipity at the Orange Door, LLC plus you can reach out to us with any questions.

I look forward to hearing from you. 😊

For a little while, I’ve had to slow down as I’ve been battling some physical issues and focusing on getting stronger.

I’m grateful to say I’m beginning to feel more like myself again—and I’m ready to step back into something I deeply love: serving our community with hope and healing. ❤️

Through 🌿Simple Healing: Spirit, Soul & Body🌿, I’m looking forward to teaching, encouraging, connecting, and creating opportunities for us to gather around the table and learn together.

Sometimes we have to slow down for a season. But slowing down doesn’t mean the calling disappeared.

I’m looking forward to what comes next. 🌿

We invite you to join us at our upcoming Table Talk Gathering! We'd love to see you! 😊

Hope. Healing. Community.

To the Woman Fighting What No One Else Can See…

Maybe it's menopause.

Maybe it's thyroid issues.

Maybe it's sleep apnea, hormone changes, exhaustion, brain fog, anxiety, pain—or a combination of things you haven't even been able to put a name to yet.

And maybe you're tired of trying to explain why you're tired.

I understand.

Right now, I'm walking through some difficult health challenges of my own, and truthfully, there are days when I feel completely overwhelmed.

I look at everything I should be doing.

Everything I want to be doing.

Everything I believe God has placed within my heart to do.

And I don't even know where to begin.

So sometimes…I don't.

In my head, I throw my hands up and think,

"I quit."

But then something inside me answers:

No. I'm not a quitter.

I may need to rest.

I may need to rearrange my priorities.

I may need doctors, answers, treatment and time.

I may need to accomplish one small thing today instead of the ten things I once could.

But needing help doesn't mean I've quit.

Resting doesn't mean I've quit.

Having a difficult day doesn't mean I've quit.

And not knowing exactly how I'm going to get from where I am to where I want to be doesn't mean I've quit.

Maybe somebody reading this needs to hear that too.

There are battles women fight that the world never sees.

You can look perfectly fine while your body is screaming for rest.

You can smile while you're frightened by changes you don't understand.

You can love your life and still feel overwhelmed by living it some days.

And you can be a strong woman who admits:

"This is hard."

I'm beginning to believe that perhaps something positive can come from this season of my life.

Maybe part of my journey is learning how to care for myself with the same compassion I've so freely offered others.

Maybe I'll learn things along the way that will help another woman advocate for herself.

Maybe sharing the messy middle—not just the victory at the end—will help another woman feel less alone.

So today, I'm not promising to conquer the world.

I'm simply choosing not to quit.

One appointment.

One answer.

One healthy decision.

One small accomplishment.

One day at a time.

And when necessary, one hour at a time.

"But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles." — Isaiah 40:31 ESV

If you're walking through an unseen health battle too, I'd love for this to become a place where women can encourage one another.

You don't have to have all the answers.

I certainly don't.

Just come as you are.

We can keep moving forward together. ❤️

PLEASE DON’T IGNORE YOUR SLEEP.

I want to share something personal because maybe someone else needs to hear it.

For quite some time, days...weeks...even months...I haven’t felt like myself.

I’ve struggled with overwhelming exhaustion, brain fog, low energy, difficulty concentrating, body aches and that awful feeling of waking up without actually feeling rested.

There have been days when I’ve wondered, What in the world is happening to my body?

I’ve looked at hormones. Thyroid.
Menopause.
Stress.
Nutrition.
And yes, those things can certainly matter.

But recently I had a sleep study.

And the results helped me realize that while I thought I was “sleeping,” my body wasn’t necessarily getting the restorative sleep it desperately needed.

That was eye-opening.

I recently had an at home sleep study, which wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I received the report today. The numbers shocked and even scared me a bit!

Sleep apnea isn’t simply about snoring.

When breathing repeatedly stops or becomes restricted during sleep, the body has to keep responding. Sleep becomes fragmented, oxygen levels may drop, and the restorative sleep our brain and body need can be disrupted.

Over time, untreated obstructive sleep apnea is associated with problems such as daytime exhaustion, difficulty concentrating, mood changes, headaches, high blood pressure and increased cardiovascular risk.

Suddenly, I began looking at some of what I’ve been experiencing through a different lens.

I’m still learning. I'm still researching. I’m still working with my healthcare providers. And I’m certainly not saying that every symptom I have is caused by sleep apnea.

But I am saying this:

If you are constantly exhausted…

If you wake up feeling like you never slept…

If someone tells you that you snore loudly, gasp or stop breathing in your sleep…

If you’re fighting brain fog and daytime sleepiness…

Or if something inside you keeps saying, This level of exhaustion isn’t normal…

Please talk with your healthcare provider about whether a sleep study might be appropriate.

Don’t assume it’s just age.
Don’t assume it’s just your weight.
Don’t assume you simply need to push harder.

Sometimes we need information before we can begin making the right changes.

For me, getting this sleep study has given me something I desperately needed:

another piece of the puzzle—and hope that there may be something I can actually do about how exhausted I’ve been feeling.

I’m sharing my journey because perhaps someone reading this has been struggling too.

Pay attention to your body.
Ask questions.
Advocate for yourself.
(Feel free to reach out if you need someone to help you walk the journey of self advocacy!)
And when something doesn’t feel right, keep searching for answers.

Our bodies were wonderfully designed, and caring for them matters.

"I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
— Psalm 139:14 ESV

Today is harvest day for one of my favorite Appalachian herbs... Mullein! 🌿

For generations, mullein has been treasured as a gentle herb that supports the body in many ways.

Some traditional uses include: 🌿 Supporting healthy lungs and easier breathing
🌿 Helping soothe occasional coughs
🌿 Comforting irritated throats 🌿 Supporting the body's natural response to seasonal allergies
🌿 Mullein-infused oil has traditionally been used to help soothe ear discomfort (for external use only and not for a ruptured eardrum).

The large, soft leaves are easy to recognize and have even earned the nickname "cowboy toilet paper" because of their velvety texture.

I'm carefully harvesting our mullein while thanking God for His amazing creation. Every plant reminds me that He has provided so much in nature for us to learn from and steward wisely.

As always, herbs are one piece of a healthy lifestyle and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease. If you're pregnant, nursing, taking medications, or have a medical condition, be sure to consult your healthcare provider before using herbal products.

Have you ever used mullein before? I'd love to hear your experience!

Some days our bodies simply ask us to slow down.

Here in Kentucky, we've had three days in a row of low barometric pressure, and many people notice they don't feel like themselves during weather changes.

You may experience:
🌿 Increased joint or muscle aches
🌿 Headaches or migraines
🌿 Fatigue or low energy
🌿 Brain fog
🌿 Increased anxiety
🌿 Feeling emotionally overwhelmed
🌿 Stiffness or inflammation

While everyone's body is different, many people—especially those living with chronic pain, arthritis, migraines, trauma, or autoimmune conditions—notice weather changes more than others.

Here are a few gentle ways to care for yourself today:

🤎 Drink plenty of water.
🤎 Choose nourishing foods instead of extra sugar.
🤎 Stretch gently or take a short walk if you're able.
🤎 Sip a warm herbal tea.
🤎 Use a heating pad or warm bath to relax tense muscles.
🤎 Rest without feeling guilty.
🤎 Spend a few quiet moments with the Lord, allowing Him to bring peace to both your body and your mind.

Sometimes healing isn't about pushing harder.
Sometimes healing is listening to what your body needs.

🍁For me, I use our Nature's Body Ease tincture, which helps with pain relief, as needed throughout the day. I also use Nature's Serenity day and night time formula.

I'm realizing and better understanding when our pain level goes up our nervous system wigs out. When my nerves spike I am more sensitive to pain. Therefore caring for both affords me a more either pain free day or at least, less pain. And that's a wonderful blessing!

Our products are all natural, made in small batches with care and love.

💛 How has your body been feeling these past few days? 💛
I'd love to hear what you've noticed.

"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28 (ESV)
