We’re excited to officially invite the community to our Open House at Union Square Physical Therapy on Thursday, June 11th from 6–8 PM at our space in Union Square, Somerville!

This evening is all about movement, wellness, community, and connection. Whether you’re already part of the community or simply curious about the space, everyone is welcome.

- Enjoy food, drinks, music, and time to connect with other active and wellness-minded people in the area
- Meet Dr. Gretchen Zalis as we celebrate our growing team and exciting new additions to the space
- Explore our studio and community-centered wellness space in the heart of Union Square

We especially recommend checking out Blanca’s .c.alcaraz yoga class upstairs at 6 PM! You’re welcome to sign up online at beinunion.com to join class and stay afterward for refreshments and community, or stop by beforehand and explore the studio once class wraps up. If you’ve been curious about yoga, this is a wonderful opportunity to check it out in a welcoming environment.

One of our patients recently joked that this place is becoming the “Somerville Longevity Club” — and honestly, we love that. This community is full of people who care deeply about staying active, healthy, and connected. You’ll meet runners, climbers, dancers, triathletes, marathoners, Ironman athletes, Pilates lovers, yogis, pole athletes, weightlifters, and so many others who share a passion for movement and longevity.

Weekend in review: our second Women’s Wellness Weekend in Lincoln, New Hampshire ⛰️

This weekend was a reminder of what can happen when we intentionally create space — space to slow down, zoom out, connect, move, rest, laugh, reflect, and restore.

Over the course of a few days, we shared nourishing meals, daily yoga and movement practices, meditation, vision boarding, walks along the Pemigewasset River, quiet moments with books and journals, and many conversations over tea and treats. There was time for deep reflection and plenty of laughter.

One of the most meaningful parts of the weekend was watching community build in real time: welcoming back women who joined us last year while creating space for new connections and friendships to form. Different backgrounds, different seasons of life — all coming together with openness and support.

It continues to affirm something I believe deeply: wellness is often easier, more sustainable, and more joyful when done in community. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who spent the weekend with us and helped make it such a special experience.

And… there’s already momentum building. 👀 We’ve heard requests for another retreat this fall, so stay tuned — an October weekend may be in the works (TBD). We’re also planning to return again in 2027.

Two future opportunities to join us, connect, reset, and invest in your wellbeing may be coming soon.

Until then: keep moving, keep resting, keep nourishing yourself, and keep making space for what matters.

💆‍♀️ Midweek Reset: Tax Day Edition 💸🧘‍♀️

Tomorrow (Wednesday) from 12–1 PM, we’re hosting a special “Chill Out Your Nervous System” yoga class—because let’s be honest… it’s tax day 😅

Whether you’ve already filed and didn’t love the outcome, you’re celebrating a big refund, or you’re still avoiding it altogether… this class is for YOU.

This is a welcoming, inclusive space open to all levels—especially beginners. You’ll be guided through gentle, grounding movements with plenty of modifications, as well as options to turn things up if you’re looking for more of a challenge.

Take this hour as your midweek reset. A chance to breathe, move, and invest in yourself—because that’s always worth it.

Mid-Day, Mid-Week Reset 🧘‍♀️✨

Join me tomorrow (Wednesday) from 12–1 PM for a gentle, accessible yoga class designed to help you reset, recharge, and reconnect with your body.

This class is truly for everyone—whether you’re brand new to yoga or have an established practice. I’ll be offering plenty of modifications so you can meet yourself exactly where you are.

As I prepare for an upcoming course in pelvic floor physical therapy, I’ve been diving into the research around breathing, relaxation, and nervous system regulation. We’ll be weaving some of these techniques into class—simple, effective tools to help release tension, support pelvic floor relaxation, and even strategies you can share with loved ones.
