Each hoof is a unique force which expresses itself to best serve that limb. My role is to support this natural process. My name is Anita Dubner and I have lived in Tuolumne County, California since 1992. I grew up with horses most of my life and they are a huge part of who I am. My sister turned me on to the barefoot movement when she bruised her tail bone and decided to pull her horses shoes be
cause she couldn't find comfort in riding until that healed up. She gave me a book by Pete Ramey, "How to Make Natural Hoof Care Work for You". I spent the first month looking at the pictures of natural, normal feet. Then spent the next few months studying the book and his web site. I've been barefoot trimming since 2009 and haven't regretted a moment of it. I went through the Pacific Hoof Care Practitioners training program the first year and became certified in 2010. I enjoy working with the horses and seeing the changes they go through as their health and hooves improve. I live for the joy it brings the owners when their horses can now move properly and they can enjoy riding any time of the year, any place.
