Everyone has a personal story and I am going to share mine publicly. I hope it can help you in some way to feel inspired and motivated to help you create the life you want. After high school I moved to Ohio to attend Ohio Wesleyan University. I graduated cm laude with my BA in Physical Education with a Sports Science concentration, and I double-minored in Zoology and Psychology (clearly not sure
about my direction in life!) From there I moved to Philadelphia to attend Thomas Jefferson University. In 2006 I graduated with my masters degree in Occupational Therapy. While I was attending undergrad my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. A few years later while I was attending graduate school he was diagnosed with cancer again, but this time it had spread to his pancreas. I watched my father struggle through 3 years of treatments, and it was heartbreaking. My mother was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and she lacked the ability to manage his care. It was a complete struggle for my whole family (immediate and extended). Soon after my 27th birthday my father passed away. He was my mom's very best friend. Five months after my dad's passing, my mom took her own life. To tell you I was depressed and sad is an understatement. I was so fatigued, I could barely get through my work day. I just wasn't myself. I was unhealthy mentally, physically and emotionally. And I lied to people. I told them all that I was ok because I didn't want them to worry or feel pity...or judge my mother. I felt every emotion possible and I can only thank my husband and dear friends & family for getting me through that phase of my life. Fast forward 1 year and I married the most incredible man I have ever met. Shortly after our wedding I supported him through an arduous journey of changing careers. Eric went from financial consultant at a nationally recognized company to a doctor of physical therapy. Through those intense 5 years of full time education, my mother in law passed away unexpectedly, and we had our 2 young daughters 2 years apart. I don't even have words strong enough to describe how we struggled through that time in our life. Through all of this, I knew had to take better care of myself. I learned to manage my stress through exercise and proper nutrition. I had been running (my true passion) as much as possible when I discovered P90x around 2010. From there I was hooked on Beachbody and have since completed Insanity, T25, Insanity Max 30 and Eric got ripped with Asylum. I'm below pre-baby weight after having 2 children. I'm strong. I'm healthy. I'M HAPPY. That's just it. I'm happy. I'm setting an incredible example for my little girls. I'm positive. I have a strong mind, body and soul. And I just feel amazing! Life is going to throw you curveballs. My job is to help you get back on track to be strong mentally, physically and emotionally. My personal goal is to help you achieve health and happiness. What will make you happy? What are your personal goals? Maybe you want to lose weight? Gain weight? Feel stronger and have more energy? Maybe you had a baby and want to feel like yourself again? Maybe you want financial freedom? I am genuinely happy when others are happy. I get teary-eyed when good things happen to good people. I don't know...I'm one of those weird people that cries when the contestant on The Price Is Right wins the showcase. You don't even want to know what happens to me when they win both! What is your "happy"? Whatever it is, I will work with you to create your plan for achieving success. I am so excited to help you get started on your journey! Please contact me via Facebook, phone or email and we will get you on your way! Much love,
Tina :-)
