It’s subtle. It doesn’t always show up as tears or anger.
Sometimes it’s a quiet withdrawal, a shift in tone, a heaviness you can’t fully explain.

At Tooba, we remind our clients that disappointment doesn’t mean you’re “too sensitive” or “expecting too much.”

It means you cared.
It means something mattered to you.

And it means your emotional world is responding to a moment that didn’t meet your needs.

If you’re feeling disappointment right now:

• Pause. Name what you’re feeling without judging yourself.
• Reflect. Ask: “What expectation was unmet?”
• Regulate. Breathe, ground yourself, and let your nervous system settle.
• Reframe. Remember: disappointment isn’t a failure. It’s feedback. A signal pointing you toward what you value, what you need, and what requires boundaries or adjustment.

Most importantly,
Disappointment is not your identity.

It’s a temporary emotional moment that you are fully capable of moving through with understanding and compassion.

Your feelings are valid.
Your healing is possible.
And you don’t have to navigate it alone.
