This is Gary, he's a harmless lil flower crab spider. He's so cute and he's decided we're friends.
I went to smell the lilac bush the other day and accidentally startled him.
He dropped from the cluster I had gotten near to enjoy the fragrance of, dangling from his silk and staring at me quite offended that I would encroach upon his personal space.
I watched him drop, and obviously, being the well mannered lady I am, backed up to show my apologies and to assure him I had no intent of disrupting his day and chosen flower cluser of safety any further.
Gary most graciously accepted my apology and returned to his bud of comfort. I couldn't resist snagging a picture of him all nestled away cozy.
Today, after doing the chores and completing the β¨magic emptying of boxesβ¨ performance for the feline members of the household for their insisted observance I was taking the trash out to the bin. Again, I stopped to smell the lovey blooming lilac bush, careful to choose a separate part of the bush as to not disturb Gary, thinking I'm being a most polite neighbor.
Only to find Gary is right there front and center yet again. He gave a little wave and came out further to have a little chat. I asked if he'd like his photo taken today and he stayed put while I went to retrieve my phone and came back. What a cute little guy, waited to pose and all.
Nature is pretty darn magical if you take a second to interact with it πβ¨
