Meet M! At 37 weeks pregnant, she continues to crush her workouts. Despite the challenges of raising three kids, working as a medical professional, and pursuing a PhD, M has remained consistent with her fitness routine during her 4th pregnancy.
Strength training during pregnancy is both safe and beneficial. It improves gestational diabetes control, reduces lower back pain, and enhances mental health. Additionally, it helps manage weight gain, boosts energy to combat fatigue, and builds muscle strength to support a growing belly. It also prepares the body for labor, potentially reducing the risk of complications.
However, strength training during the third trimester isn't easy. Discomfort, sleep disturbances, fatigue, and balance issues are common. Despite this, M shows up and puts in the work. She truly inspires us all! M!
