Do fillers lift the face?
Short answer: no.
Dermal fillers add volume, but they do not physically lift tissue. True lifting can only be achieved through surgery that can reposition the tissue.
What do fillers actually do?
• restore lost volume
• improve facial balance
• augment
When placed correctly, dermal fillers can create the appearance of lift (kind of like the magic of contouring) because volume is restored in strategic areas. But, they are not a replacement for surgical lift.
Understanding this helps to keep expectations realistic around achieving natural results.
