According to a recent University of Michigan poll, many older adults spend less than an hour reviewing their Medicare options during Open Enrollment, and more than one-quarter don't review their coverage at all.

Join Dementia Friendly Services on Oct. 22 for a free screening of W**e, Women & Dementia, followed by a conversation with the filmmaker. 'Twas the night before Open Enrollment and all through the house, our SHIP staff was busy—packing box after box...
But seriously, the staff from our Medicare Assistance/SHIP Program have been working hard getting ready to go out into the community and help Medicare beneficiaries understand their plans and choices for 2027. Open Enrollment starts tomorrow, October 15, and runs through December 7. Our SHIP Program and its 100+ volunteers will be at community centers, libraries and senior centers throughout our 6-county region offering free and unbiased counseling.
