Ask who the medical director is before you book anything at a med spa.
It’s a spa in name. What happens in the room is medicine — neuromodulators, fillers, lasers, devices that can burn or scar if the wrong hands are running them. Every one of those requires oversight by a licensed medical provider.
The medical director is that person. They set the protocols, oversee the injectors, and are legally responsible for what happens on that table. In a well-run practice, that’s not a name on a wall license — it’s someone actively involved.
Here’s the honest beat: not every med spa treats it that way. Some list a medical director who’s never in the building. Ask how involved they actually are. Ask who they call if something goes wrong mid-treatment. A confident answer tells you a lot.
At our Med Spa, I hold that role myself. I’m not a name on the wall — I’m the surgeon down the hall.
Comment DIRECTOR and we’ll send you the questions worth asking before any injectable appointment.
Individual results vary. A consultation is required to determine candidacy.
