Three months ago, we opened our doors with one simple goal: to provide thoughtful, compassionate dermatology care close to home.

Since May 1, we’ve had the privilege of caring for hundreds of patients from Southport, Oak Island, and the surrounding communities. Every appointment, every referral, every kind review, and every recommendation to a friend has helped our little practice grow.

The NC 4th of July Festival is almost here! 🇺🇸🎆

Whether you’re watching the parade, enjoying the waterfront, or staying for the fireworks, don’t forget that your skin needs protection too.

☀️ A few dermatologist-approved reminders:
• Seek shade when you can.
• Stay hydrated throughout the day.
• The UV index is typically at its highest between 10 AM and 4 PM.
• And most importantly… sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! Reapply every 2 hours (and after swimming or sweating).

One of the most common questions we get is, “What’s the best sunscreen?”

The answer is simple: the best sunscreen is the one you’ll actually wear every day. Whether it’s mineral, chemical, lotion, cream, or tinted—consistency matters more than the brand.
