💙⚓️ Huge thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to complete the survey!
This project is truly about the island community and the people who live here year round and seasonally. Your feedback has been thoughtful, honest, and incredibly helpful and it is already helping shape what this could become.

📍 A few updates to share:
I have been talking with local community members from MDI, Swans Island, and additional outlying islands to better understand real needs, gaps in care, and what would actually be helpful for island life.
I am also beginning to explore potential brick and mortar space for a small local presence, along with looking into additional services and resources that could improve access to care and support for our communities.

Hi everyone!

I’m Jared, a dual board-certified (soon to be triple board-certified) Nurse Practitioner and the provider behind Acadia Harbor Health. I have experience across primary care, urgent care, hospital/critical care medicine, palliative care medicine, and mental health, with a strong focus on caring for adults and families in rural and underserved communities.

My approach to care is practical, patient-centered, and rooted in real life. I believe good healthcare should be accessible, collaborative, and focused on long-term relationships, not rushed visits or fragmented care. Through telehealth, my goal is to provide high-quality primary care that meets patients where they are, whether that’s managing chronic conditions, addressing mental health concerns, or handling everyday acute issues.

Acadia Harbor Health was created to bring consistent, reliable primary care to Maine patients, with an emphasis on continuity, prevention, and thoughtful medical decision-making. I value clear communication, shared decision-making, and creating a space where patients feel heard and supported.

🌊 Mount Desert Island Community Input Requested ⚓️

Acadia Harbor Health is exploring offering a local telehealth primary care service on Mount Desert Island. This service is not active at this time. We are in the early planning phase and seeking community input to determine whether this would be useful and supported by island residents.

The proposed model would include telehealth primary care provided by a Maine licensed nurse practitioner, with consideration for a small local office on the island for vitals, exams, and basic assessments. Whether this service moves forward and when it may open will depend entirely on community interest and feedback.

If you live on or spend significant time on Mount Desert Island, we would greatly appreciate your taking a few minutes to complete the survey linked below. All responses are anonymous and will help guide thoughtful decision-making.
