🚨🚨The US-6 Thistle Junction is getting a massive update!🚨🚨

🚨🚨Construction is scheduled to begin TODAY🚨🚨

Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Beginning in early May, traffic on US-6 is anticipated to be reduced to one lane in each direction at all times and shifted to the north so the earthwork and bridge construction can be done on the south side. Travel through the junction will be maintained in all directions on US-6 and US-89 throughout construction, but capacity will be reduced to a single lane in each direction.

We anticipate this lane restriction will create delays, especially at peak travel times. To minimize your inconvenience, we encourage you to:

🚧Select alternate routes whenever possible.
🚧Adjust your trips to avoid peak travel times.
🚧Use zipper merging at the lane restriction to get through the work zone as quickly as possible.
🚧Check the UDOT Traffic Alert system for current travel conditions at www.udottraffic.utah.gov/.

Information is from https://udotinput.utah.gov/us6thistlesafety

Update: Update: 🔥

The fire has been confirmed as human-caused and is currently under investigation. It is estimated at approximately 400 acres, with more accurate mapping expected tomorrow.

Winds continue to push the fire north and east, and it is now burning into Juab County. Additional resources and dozers are actively responding and constructing fire line perimeter. Due to conditions and caution for life safety, 3 homes south of Goshen at the mouth of the canyon were evacuated.

This will be the last update for tonight unless significant changes occur. More information will be shared tomorrow.

Please stay alert, and use this summer!

🔥 Please DO NOT CALL 911 if you see smoke in the Goshen area 🔥

“A fire has started in Goshen and is now estimated at 75-100 acres. Santaquin City Fire/EMS, they are responding to a fire in Goshen Canyon.

There is reportedly smoke visible from the Summit Ridge Area. Crews from Santaquin, Utah County, Goshen, Genola, Rocky Ridge, Eureka, and possibly other departments are actively working on putting out the fire.

At this time, three residences have been evacuated. Due to multiple resources on scene, please avoid the area and allow crews to work safely.”

Updated Fiesta Days Rodeo Ticket Sales Information: NEW SALES TIME

In an effort to provide a better, more reliable ticketing experience, the Fiesta Days Rodeo rebuilt our ticket systems using a new vendor. We worked for several months to plan and prepare for a smooth ticket sales experience.

This morning, before tickets went on sale, we noticed that several seats for each night were still listed as unavailable. That led us to go through a check and reset with the vendor. That reset caused a glitch and paused all ticket sales.

While the queue timing is being adjusted, your original place in line has been preserved.

We will begin selling tickets today at 2 pm, using the original queue order. You can go back to the ticket link below to check your exact time (just make sure you type your same email you entered the queue with initially):
https://sfcitytix.strideevents.com/events/spanish-fork-fiesta-days-rodeo/2026/tickets

A few quick clarifications:
• Tickets have not yet been sold and have not been released to outside entities
• You will have the opportunity to purchase tickets based on your original place in line
• Your position in the queue remains unchanged

If you think you got in line, but haven’t received any emails from our system, check your spam folders. Some emails are being delivered there. Rodeo ticket emails will come from either [email protected] or [email protected].

Thank you for your patience and support. We look forward to seeing you at the rodeo!

🔥 Confirmed controlled burn. It’s known and reported. 🔥

All units have been called off with one left to observe. Dark smoke for sure which causes alarm - but it’s under control.

Thank you to 🎥
