Red Pine Reiki

Red Pine Reiki Reiki sessions and classes for adults & children. Teacher of Usui Reiki Ryoho and Jikiden Reiki practitioner offering lineage-based healing. Hello! Let me help!

Certified Social Worker with 25+ years experience. Inclusive environment, forest setting. Welcome to Red Pine Reiki. I am glad you are here! Reiki is an alternative healing technique that originated in Japan. It is the gentle laying of the hands on and just above the body that promotes stress reduction and maximizes the body's innate healing capacities. Reiki is a form of meditation that acts on t

he parasympathetic nervous system which is where physical and emotional pain resides. Reiki is growing in both the medical and spiritual communities and is now found in prestigious hospitals worldwide, including Mayo Rochester and Veteran Administration hospitals. Government and University research studies are showing Reiki's benefit in managing anxiety, pain, tension, insomnia and in managing symptoms associated with chronic health conditions ranging from Multiple Sclerosis, chronic/acute anxiety, Parkinson's disease to cancer. Reiki is wonderful for both adults and children. Red Pine Reiki is an authorized provider through the Wisconsin Dept of Health Services Children's Waiver (CLTS) Program and is a certified member of the International Association of Reiki Professionals. About Me:

I am a Shinpiden Reiki Master Teacher/Practitioner, and I am also a Certified Social Worker. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and have three Reiki lineages: 1st lineage - I attended Reiki Levels 1, 2 and Master Teacher with Amy Wilinski, of Golden Light Healing, LLC in Sobieski, WI. 2nd lineage - I attended Shinpiden Reiki Master Teacher Class with international; and celebrated author/Reiki teacher, Frans Steine, of the International House of Reiki based out of Holland. 3rd lineage - I studied and attended Jikiden Reiki 1st and 2nd degree practitioner classes with Jikiden Reiki Shihan, Jotaro Kashihara. The Jikiden Reiki Institute is based out of Kyoto, Japan and is known worldwide to be the most unadulterated form of Reiki with zero western influences. My Reiki education is in direct lineage from Reiki Master to Reiki Master descending from its founder, Mikau Usui, via in person teaching and mentoring, including a Master Teacher apprenticeship. I am also a Certified Social Worker and have 25 years' experience working with many situations and with vulnerable populations. I served as case-manager for Monroe County Dept of Human services providing lead crisis and mental health case management within behavioral health, as a community integration case-manager working on the deinstitutionalization initiative with individuals who have a developmental disability. I served as the dementia lead, an options counselor, and the Youth in Transition Lead for the Monroe County Aging and Disability Resource Center. The latter assisting children with disabilities in transitioning to adult programs. Red Pine Reiki's Mission:

The mission of Red Pine Reiki is to empower others to connect with their innate healing capacities. Reiki sessions are by appointment only. I teach Reiki Level I, II and Master Teacher/Practitioner classes rotating every 1 - 2 months. The Master Teacher Class is unique as it involves an optional apprenticeship and mentoring where students can return to class gaining greater confidence in their Reiki skills and teaching if they so choose. When people move from chronic stress into a more regulated state, the body often changes in visible ways.

Stress hormones like cortisol can contribute to inflammation, muscle tension, shallow breathing, and a tired or guarded facial expression. When the nervous system shifts toward a parasympathetic (rest and restore) state, facial muscles relax, breathing deepens, circulation improves, and people often appear softer, brighter, and more at ease.

Whether someone calls it a "Reiki glow," many people notice it. At Red Pine Reiki, even Ken has commented on it as clients often leave looking lighter, peaceful and brighter and most definitely on a zen state.

Their shoulders drop, their eyes seem brighter, and the tension they carried in with them appears to have softened.

Ken often asks people after their session as they glide to the porch door, "How many fingers am I holding up?" - comment of you are one of them 😊. Ken often shares how people glow following their session.

Reiki helps reveal who they are underneath the stress, worry, and overwhelm.

✨ The Reiki Glow ✨

What many call the "Reiki glow" may simply be the natural radiance that emerges when stress loosens its grip and the body remembers its innate state of balance.

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that works by bringing balance and restoration to the subtle energies within the body that can become blocked on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. When your energy flow is blocked or trapped, you may experience anxiety, or lack clarity and confidence. Reiki restores your energies within, so you feel connected, clear and grounded.

Reiki is all about good intentions and since Reiki works on subtle energetic systems throughout the body, it impacts the entirety of your body and well-being, promoting healing. Practicing and receiving Reiki helps most people to reduce their anxiety, pain, depression and fatigue.

After a Reiki session, you will leave feeling relaxed, balanced and centred. This is because Reiki healing helps you to release stress and tension, this allows for your inner beauty and inner radiance to flourish and shine through, reflecting in your face and skin with a rejuvenated and glowing aura.

PS:
Something else often begins to happen, too. Reiki clients often see beauty everywhere!

As the mind becomes quieter and less focused on fear, worry, or simply getting through the day, people often become more aware of the beauty around them. The colors of the forest seem richer. The breeze feels more refreshing. Birdsongs become noticeable . Colors are richer. Gratitude returns for the simple things that were always there but had been overshadowed by stress.

Many clients see more beauty in nature, but also in the people around them. It is as though the heart opens just a little wider, allowing them to experience life more fully.

Many of the children who visit Red Pine Reiki have discovered the forest trails and often head right to the trail in the photos. We hike to the top of the Cataract bluffs on Red Pine Reiki's property. We now take full advantage of our walks together.

The moment they are on the trail, they're eager to explore, discover, and simply be in the woods. There is something instinctive about it. They naturally gravitate toward the trees, the fresh air, and the freedom that nature provides.

The animals seem just as delighted. B Millie the dog and Bailey the cat walk with us.

For some of the children, when we reach the top of the bluffs, we pause, and I share Reiki with them while we sit quietly together. Gentle breeze moves through the trees and the only sounds are the wind, rustling leaves, and birds. Reiki in a peaceful moment surrounded by nature.

Science tells us that spending time in nature helps calm the nervous system, reduce stress, improve mood, and increase feelings of connection and well-being. Reiki complements this beautifully, helping the body settle into a state of rest and balance.

I often think children understand this better than adults. They don't need to be reminded that nature is healing. They simply know.
I love it. 🌲✨💚

🌸 A Special Discovery in the Forest

This week, some of our Reiki children made a wonderful discovery while exploring the woods - a group of several beautiful Pink Lady's Slipper Orchids!

Finding one of these native wild orchids is rare and a delight taking 5 to 20 years to bloom under the right circumstances. Lady's Slippers take time to mature and bloom, and they depend on a unique partnership with specific fungi in the soil in order to grow. They are considered a special treasure of our Wisconsin woodlands.

What I love most is that it was children who found them wild along a Red Pine Reiki trail. I am not sure I would have seen them without the children. Children have a remarkable ability to slow down, notice the small things, and remain curious about the world around them. Sometimes they remind us of lessons we have forgotten.

In Reiki, we often talk about returning to our true nature. A return to a time and place of wonder, presence, and connection. Watching children discover something so rare and beautiful in the forest felt like a perfect example of that.

The Reiki seed is often planted in quiet moments: a walk through the woods, a shared smile, a flower hidden beneath the pines waiting to be noticed.

Now that the weather is warmer, the Reiki children love to hop out of their parent's vehicles and head straight to the forest for Reiki in Nature.

Thank you to our young explorers for reminding us to look a little closer.

A true Reiki teacher does not heal you, fix you, or give you something you do not already possess. A teacher simply creates a peaceful environment where you can slow down, feel safe, and remember the light, wisdom, and strength that have always existed within you.

At Red Pine Reiki, we provide the space, support, guidance, and teachings for those who are ready to begin that journey.

Signs someone may not be ready for real, long-lasting healing or deep personal growth yet:

🌱 Believing healing comes only from someone else rather than from within.
🌱 Expecting a quick fix without a willingness to practice daily self-care.
🌱 Consistently blaming others while avoiding self-reflection.
🌱 Resisting feedback, new perspectives, or personal accountability.
🌱 Wanting change but being unwilling to make changes.
🌱 Seeking spiritual experiences while avoiding emotional healing.
🌱 Believing growth should be comfortable all the time.
🌱 Holding tightly to anger, resentment, or the need to be right.
🌱 Looking for a teacher to save them rather than guide them.
🌱 Dismissing the value of discipline, consistency, and patience.
🌱 Refusing to examine old patterns that continue to create suffering.

The beautiful thing is that readiness is not permanent. A person who is not ready today may become ready tomorrow. Reiki healing requires insight and introspection. Growth begins the moment we become curious about ourselves and willing to look inward with honesty and compassion. 💛🌲✨

"The teacher opens the door, but each student must choose to walk through it."

Signs you may be ready for Reiki:

✨ You are seeking more peace in your life.
✨ You are tired of living in constant stress, worry, or overwhelm.
✨ You are open to self-discovery and personal growth.
✨ You are willing to set aside time for your own healing.
✨ You desire greater emotional balance and resilience.
✨ You are curious about meditation, mindfulness, or energy work.
✨ You want practical tools to support your well-being.
✨ You are ready to take responsibility for your own healing journey.
✨ You feel called to help others.
✨ You sense there is something more within you waiting to be remembered.

The Reiki seed is always planted just in time. You do not find Reiki. Reiki finds you. 💛🌲✨
