A forest bathing walk is the Japanese-inspired health and wellness practice of Shinrin Yoku. Forest bathing combines embodiment and mindfulness experiences in order to explore the question of what it means to be alive and in relationship with nature. Origin Forest Bathing invites participants on a journey of self-discovery, that seeks to heal the separation between the stories that we tell ourselv

es about who we are and who we are naturally. We have always been part of nature and can go back for healing anytime. Unlike a therapist nature knows what each person needs without judgement or expectation. We live in a tamed world that has lost this connection with the more-than-human world. This practice is the collaboration of many wisdom paths, Jung psychology, Taoist and Zen philosophy, modern research, and ancestral knowledge. Origin Forest bathing is a heart opening practice of finding awe in the everyday and trusting that we are all connected in life. Being in the here and now, gets us out of our heads and into our hearts.

Had to share this unboxing because I did a lot of research. Not only does this Jewelry US ring help my Smart Ring Store stay on, it looks so luxury. I heard about this concept from an article in a magazine on styling wellness rings and I am convinced this is it. Proof that you can explore your health and look bougie

Fractals for happiness

For nearly 375 years, this ancient sycamore has stood in quiet witness—long before roads, warehouses, and the constant hum of industry surrounded it. It has watched generations come and go, enduring storms, lightning, and centuries of change. (Uncharted Lancaster)

Today I had the privilege of listening to its music through the Pocket Scion.

The message that came through was simple, but impossible to ignore:

“Humans have become so very loud.”

As you listen, notice the industrial noise woven into the tree’s song. It isn’t separate from the music—it has become part of its daily experience.

What would the world sound like if we spoke less, listened more, and remembered that we share this Earth with beings who have been patiently holding life together for centuries?

May this ancient voice slow you down.
May it soften something in you.
And may it remind us that the oldest teachers rarely raise their voices—they simply continue to stand.

Help us build a one-day community art exhibit during the Spearfish Watershed Festival!

Between now and the festival on August 1st, head down to Spearfish Creek and create something inspired by what you see.

Bring your finished artwork to the Matthews booth during the festival, and we'll display it in our community pop-up gallery!

No judging. No selling. Just celebrating the beauty of nature through art.
