The South Dakota Ambulance Association is excited to offer the **Certified Ambulance Documentation Specialist (CADS) Course** at multiple locations across South Dakota this August!

💲 **Normally a $99 course, the course fee is being covered through the South Dakota State EMS Sustainability Grant, making this an incredible opportunity for EMS providers across the state.** Participants are only responsible for the $20 facility fee.

📋 The CADS certification is the first certification specifically designed for EMTs, paramedics, and EMS professionals who want to improve patient care documentation, strengthen compliance, enhance reimbursement, and advance their careers.

On Monday, SDEMSA, SD Ambulance Assn - SDAA, & Sdemsa Instructor/Coordinator Society joined lawmakers at the State Capitol to showcase the critical role EMS providers play in keeping our communities safe. From life-saving calls to everyday care, our EMS teams are every day! 💙🚑

A huge thank you to all the providers who came out to advocate for our profession and the patients we serve. 🙌 Special shoutout to SDEMSA, SDEMSA IC Society and SDAA members for hosting the legislative reception later that evening at the Ramkota—it was a wonderful way to connect and celebrate our EMS community!

The SD Legislative Committee that assembled this summer did a great job outlining the problems in EMS. They have made several suggestions and planned changes. They all admitted that there is more to discuss and help find solutions. We have work to do to help them find the solutions.

We want to let everyone know that the CADS class originally scheduled for July has been postponed due to low registration numbers. While we know many were looking forward to this opportunity, we believe it's best to look at rescheduling for a future date when there is greater attendance.

✅ However, the CAPO class is still ON and will be held in July in Pierre — and there are still seats available! If you're interested, don’t wait to register.
