This month, The Making Space is gathering around the theme of Tension.
We spend so much of our lives trying to get rid of tension. To relax it, fix it, release it, make it go away.
But tension is also what gives things shape.
It is what allows thread to hold.
What gives weaving structure.
What keeps stitches together.
What creates enough resistance for something to actually be made.
So this month, we are getting curious about the tension we carry.
Where are you holding too tightly?
Where have you gone too loose?
Where is tension creating necessary structure, and where has it become rigidity?
What might change if you stopped seeing tension as something wrong and started listening to what it is showing you?
Bring whatever craft you are working on, knitting, sewing, crochet, embroidery, macramé, painting, mending, or something entirely different, and come spend an evening making things and making space together.
Tuesday, August 25

As always, you never have to share more than you want to. The conversation is simply an invitation.
Bring your hands something to do.
Bring whatever tension has been asking for your attention.
We’ll meet it together.
