Itโ€™s Leo season time to start catching new dreams

The Dreamcatcher's Gift

Long ago, a young girl was troubled by the same frightening dream each night. She would wake before dawn with tears on her face, afraid to close her eyes again.

Seeing her fear, her grandmother gathered a slender willow branch and bent it into a circle. She carefully wove a web of sinew through its center and tied a single feather to its base.

"What does it do?" the little girl asked.

The grandmother smiled.

"It does not chase away your dreams. It teaches you which ones to keep."

That night, the girl hung the dreamcatcher above her bed. As moonlight poured through the lodge, the web shimmered like morning dew.

The dark dreams drifted toward it first, but they became tangled in the delicate threads. When the first rays of sunrise touched the web, the frightening dreams dissolved into the morning light.

Then came the gentle dreamsโ€”dreams of soaring eagles, quiet forests, laughing children, and ancestors gathered around a warm fire. These slipped through the center of the web and floated softly down the feather, settling peacefully into the girl's heart.

Years passed, and the little girl became a wise elder. Whenever she made a dreamcatcher for a child, she would say,

"Remember, the greatest dreamcatcher is not the one hanging above your bed. It is the wisdom you carry within yourself. Fill your heart with kindness, courage, and gratitude, and even your dreams will know the way home."

From that time on, people hung dreamcatchers as a reminder to greet each new day with hope, believing that every sunrise offered another chance to let go of fear and hold on to the dreams that made the spirit stronger.
