September’s Round Up at the Register recipient is Feed Spokane! 💚

Feed Spokane does incredible work right here in our community, rescuing good, nutritious food that might otherwise go to waste and getting it to local organizations serving people who need it.

All month long, when you shop at Main Market Co-op, you can choose to round up your purchase at the register. Those extra few cents add up, and together, our shoppers can help Feed Spokane keep good food on plates and out of the waste stream.

It’s one of the things we love most about being a community-owned grocery store: small actions, multiplied across a whole community, can make a very real difference.

Just tell your cashier you’d like to round up when you check out. 💚

Thank you for helping us support this September!

A little something delicious from Sunny Pine Farm. 🐐💚

Handcrafted on their family farm in Twisp River, Washington, this creamy chèvre comes in flavors for every kind of snack board, recipe, or quiet moment with a cracker and a spoon.

Choose from favorites like Plain, Parsley Chive, Black Pepper Garlic, Garlic Basil, and Honey Lavender. Each one brings its own personality, but they all begin with the care, tradition, and regenerative farming practices Sunny Pine Farm has cultivated since 1974.

Serve it with fresh bread, seasonal fruit, roasted vegetables, or your favorite crackers. If you are feeling generous, you can even share.

Which flavor would you reach for first?

A co-op produce aisle is about more than what is on the shelves. It reflects the kind of food system we choose to support. 🍎🍏

When you shop at a food co-op, your grocery dollars help build a marketplace rooted in shared values. Co-ops prioritize thoughtful sourcing, organic options, regional growers, fair relationships, and greater transparency about where our food comes from.

That means a simple choice, like picking up a bag of organic apples, can help support:

🍎 Farmers who care for the soil
🍏 More sustainable growing practices
🍎 Stronger local and regional food systems
🍏 A community-owned alternative to conventional grocery chains
🍎 Greater access to food produced with people and the planet in mind

Co-ops prove that grocery stores can do more than sell food. They can strengthen communities, support responsible agriculture, and give shoppers a meaningful voice in the food system.

Every purchase is a small vote for the kind of future we want to grow.

It’s National Dog Day! 🐶❤️

And honestly, around here, we think our four-legged family members deserve good food too.

Whether your pup is a crunchy-kibble connoisseur, a canned-food enthusiast, or firmly believes treats should be distributed every time someone walks within five feet of the treat bag, we’ve got plenty of options at the Co-op. 🐾

Stop in and grab something for your best friend today. And please give them an extra scratch behind the ears from all of us at Main Market.

Happy National Dog Day! 🐕

We’ve got Dave’s Killer Bread Thin-Sliced on the shelves at Main Market, including Good Seed and 21 Whole Grains & Seeds!

Same hearty, seedy goodness Dave’s is known for, just in a thinner slice. Good Seed comes in at 70 calories per slice, while 21 Whole Grains & Seeds is 60 calories per slice. Both are USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, and packed with whole grains and seeds.

Perfect for toast, sandwiches, grilled cheese, or those days when the bread is really just the delivery system for an unreasonable amount of avocado. 🥑
