Job : ED Physician needed for a short-and-mighty locum assignment in Northwest Arctic Alaska, October 1st–8th. Full-spectrum ED and trauma coverage, medevac support, and an experience you won't find anywhere else in medicine.

- $250/hour + paid travel days
- 12-hour shifts, 8pm–8am
- One of the most remote, unique regions in the country

Job 06364S – Rural Southcentral AK, Road System: Make $16,000+/month
Job 06285S – Rural Southcentral AK, Small Community: Make $84,000+ in 5 months
Job 06301S – Southcentral AK, Urban Community: Make $50,000+ in 3 months

All three come with:

-$106/hr ($159/hr OT and holiday)
-Board-certified NP/PA, active BLS and DEA required
-Travel, housing, and malpractice insurance covered

Not a bad view for a day off.

WMS-contracted NP, Sarah K., took her drone along while exploring during some downtime on assignment in Alaska and captured this incredible view from above.

One of our favorite parts of seeing photos and videos from providers is getting a glimpse of where their assignments take them beyond the clinic.

If your next assignment happens to come with views like these…well, bringing a camera (or phone, or drone...) certainly doesn't hurt.

"What if we could bring continuous, high-quality care to remote villages without burning out providers?"

For our founder, Mary Ellen Doty, Meaningful Medicine Author, that wasn't a hypothetical. It became the reason to build something new.

Today, 16 years later, her vision continues to shape WMS and the way we approach rural healthcare: care for the communities, care for the providers, and find a way to make both sustainable.

On our 16th Founder's Day, we're especially grateful for the woman who asked, "What if?" and then decided to do something about it.

A few members of the WMS team from around Eastern Washington and Idaho got together for lunch yesterday! While we love the flexibility of working remotely, we still make time for face-to-face connection when we can.
