Many of you have received (multiple times!) the recent email from the Office of Medical Ma*****na Use (OMMU) about updates to the Medical Ma*****na Use Registry (MMUR). We know these official notices can sometimes feel confusing or overwhelming — you're not alone!
The good news? This change has no impact on your current medical ma*****na use or access to your medication right now.
What it does mean:
Starting July 27, 2026, patients will need to have current or scheduled certifications with active orders from their physician in order to renew their MMUR identification card. In simple terms: your physician needs to keep your certification up to date in the system.
If your certification is current and active, you can continue renewing your card as usual. If it’s expired or nearing expiration, we’re here to help get everything back on track quickly and easily.
✅ Bottom line: Nothing to stress about!
This is just a procedural update to ensure active patient-physician relationships are documented in the registry.
