Post-Murph Reflection
Today wasn’t about a time.
It wasn’t about a leaderboard.
It wasn’t about proving anything to anyone else.
Today was about showing up when it got uncomfortable.
The miles felt longer.
The pull-ups got heavier.
The push-ups burned.
The air got thinner.
And somewhere in the middle of the workout… the excuses started talking.
But that’s the point of Murph.
Murph reminds you that strength is deeper than muscle.
It’s discipline.
It’s grit.
It’s the decision to keep moving when your mind wants to stop.
For many of us between 40–60, this hits differently.
This isn’t about chasing youth anymore.
It’s about protecting life.
Protecting the years we still have left.
Being capable enough to hike with our kids, carry our grandkids, travel, explore, lead, and LIVE without limitation.
Murph exposes your standard.
Not your fitness standard… your personal one.
When things got hard today:
Did you slow down or quit?
Did you stay present?
Did you encourage others?
Did you honor the commitment you made before it started?
That matters far beyond the workout.
Because the way you do hard things in the gym often mirrors the way you face hard things in life.
Proud of everyone who showed up today.
Not because it was perfect.
Because it was honest.
Now recover. Reflect. Then ask yourself:
If you can survive Murph… what else in your life are you capable of changing?
