We all forget things.
Where are my keys? Why did I walk into this room? What was that person's name again? 😵💫
But when do memory changes become something worth talking to a healthcare provider about?
Some changes deserve a closer look, especially when they begin interfering with everyday life:
✔️ Repeating the same questions or stories frequently
✔️ Getting confused in familiar places
✔️ Difficulty managing medications, bills or normal routines
✔️ Struggling to find common words more often
✔️ Noticeable changes in judgment, mood or personality
✔️ Memory problems that family or friends are noticing too
And importantly, memory problems don't automatically mean Alzheimer's. Sleep problems, medications, thyroid disorders, vitamin deficiencies, depression and other medical conditions can affect memory and thinking.
September is World Alzheimer's Month, so it's a good reminder to pay attention to changes—not panic about them.
If something seems different, start the conversation with a healthcare provider. 💚
