This birth and all of the preparation before was an extra sweet one for me because my former intern (now full team member!), Kate, got to tag along throughout the whole process to observe and get a first hand look at what our prenatal meetings, birth support, and postpartum visits look like! The journey with these clients also makes me realize that everything I dreamed Bloom and Grow would be is coming to fruition. Their support from Hailey through her childbirth education and lactation classes and counseling is a such a beautiful picture of how these prices are designed to fit together for an empowered pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey. 🥹

This mama rocked her birth and it was beautiful to watch her husband support her and their relationship grow deeper during this journey! I am so grateful for these amazing clients who not only were a joy to come alongside, but were so kind to allow Kate to be brought in, too. And not only was Kate a respectful and calming presence, but jumped in how she could and reminded me what an incredible asset she will be (and now is!) for our families.

So grateful to have the best families here at Bloom and Grow and another fantastic doula for our team! Keep an eye on updates regarding, Kate, too! She has some amazing things she’s planning to start adding to all Bloom and Grow has to offer! - Brittany 🫶🏼

Introducing Certified Birth Doula Kate Linscott, ProDoula CD! We are so excited to have Kate now part of our Bloom and Grow Birth Collective Team. Some of our favorite things about Kate is her safe listening ear, caring touch, her thoroughness in presenting evidence-based information and resources to families, and eagerness to ensure her clients feel supported and cared for both physically and emotionally. She has been interning under Brittany and is now accepting clients as she wraps up her internship! Here’s a little bit more about Kate:

“Kate is the mama of her little girl Elena and wife to her husband, Riley. She has a Bachelors in Education from Southwest Baptist University and taught Spanish before becoming a stay at home mom. Kate became fascinated by pregnancy and birth during her own pregnancy, which motivated her to learn all she could and then help educate others. She is passionate about reminding women that they are built to birth and supporting them through the most beautiful and transformative period in their life.“

Fun fact - Brittany had the honor of supporting Kate and her husband during her pregnancy and birth of their daughter. Such a sweet, full circle moment! 🫶🏼

Calling all who provide care for mothers - join Cassi (.evren.midwife) and the Bloom and Grow Birth Collective team () for a day of learning and growth through two midwife-led classes on May 23rd from 9-5pm! We hope you’ll join us as we work through what it means to truly support mothers who have experienced grief and loss as well as be strengthen our care for those who are survivors of abuse.
