Do you have costumes that have been outgrown or forgotten? We'll take them! They can be dropped off in the elementary school office.

The FRC will be having a costume exchange during our annual Pumpkin Party on October 21st in the Pleasant Hill Community Center.

Candy Monster will be making his appearance every school day after school to collect candy donations for our FREE Trunk or Treat event. He’s especially hungry this year and is looking forward to trying all the delicious candy choices you bring!

October is domestic violence awareness month; about 1 in 4 women & 1 in 10 men in the U.S. experience physical, emotional, or sexual violence from an intimate partner in their lifetime. Reach out for help & support

DVAM BEGINS

Today marks the beginning of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜

For 50 years, Hope & Safety Alliance (Womenspace) has stood beside survivors of domestic violence and worked with our community to create greater safety, support, and hope.

Tonight, we begin a month of honoring that history and looking toward the future.

Join us for the opening of our 50-year historical timeline exhibit at Springfield City Hall from 5–6 PM. We’ll be joined by Springfield Mayor Sean VanGordon and Lane County District Attorney Christopher Parosa and Hope & Safety Alliance Executive Director Kim Lax, as we recognize the people and community efforts that have shaped this work over the past five decades.

The exhibit will remain on display at Springfield City Hall throughout October.
