โ€” Dr. John Paciorek

John Paciorek D.C., CFMP

You will often hear me say โ€œchiropractic is in my soul,โ€ I was born to be a chiropractor. My grandfather was a chiropractor and I loved seeing all the โ€œchiropractic miracles.โ€ I graduated from Greenon High School and went straight to Wright State University where I received a bachelors of science in Biology with a minor in physiological psychology. Next I went to New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) and received my Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.). My intern and residence program was performed at the Buffalo Veterans Affairs Medical Center - it was at this VAMC that the integration of chiropractic in all military facilities began. In 2005 I joined a chiropractic practice in Springfield, Ohio. In 2007 my wife and I purchased the practice and this is where we continue to help create health and change lives. I continue to pursue higher education and became a certified functional medical practitioner (C.F.M.P.) in 2019. I am the type of chiropractor who desires to know all I can of physiology, pathology, neurology, nutrition, and anatomy. Shanna Paciorek D.C., CFMP. I was influenced by my husband, Dr. John, to become a chiropractor. I graduated with honors from Wright State University with a bachelors of science in biology. I then went to New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) for my doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.). I enjoyed my intern and residence program at the Buffalo Veterans Affairs Medical Center. It was here the integration of chiropractic in all military facilities began. I became a certified functional medicine practitioner (C.F.M.P.) in 2013. And in 2020 became certified in the Callahan emotional release technique. Since the birth of our first child I have decreased my time in the office and increased my focus on building strong families. I am sought after for my consulting and I am also a teacher in our Classical Conversations home school co-operative.

๐ŸŽƒโ˜• Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice โ˜•๐ŸŽƒ

Pumpkin spice season is officially hereโ€”and we're not mad about it! ๐Ÿ˜‰

But pumpkin isn't just for your favorite fall latte. Real pumpkin is packed with nutrients and can be a delicious addition to your fall meals.

Try adding pumpkin to:

๐Ÿฅฃ Oatmeal or overnight oats
๐Ÿฅค Smoothies
๐Ÿง Homemade muffins or energy bites
๐Ÿฒ Soups and chili
๐Ÿฅž Pancakes
๐Ÿฅ› Yogurt or chia pudding

And don't forget the spices! Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves can add plenty of fall flavor without needing lots of extra sugar.

The best part? You don't have to give up your favorite pumpkin spice treats. Healthy eating is about balanceโ€”not perfection. ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ’›

So go ahead and enjoy that pumpkin spice latte. Then maybe add a little real pumpkin to your breakfast, too! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hello, October! ๐ŸŽƒ The air is getting cooler, the leaves are changing, and the cozy season is officially here!

As we trade summer walks for comfy sweaters and pumpkin everything, don't let your healthy habits disappear into hibernation! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here are a few simple ways to keep feeling your best this fall:

๐Ÿšถ Move a little: Take a walk and enjoy those beautiful fall colors.

๐Ÿฅ— Eat well: Fill your plate with nourishing foods and seasonal favorites.

๐Ÿ’ง Stay hydrated: Cooler temperatures don't mean your body needs less water!

๐Ÿ˜ด Rest up: Give yourself permission to slow down and get the sleep you need.

๐Ÿ’› Make time for YOU: Between work, school, family, and all the fall activities, remember that your well-being matters, too!

You don't have to be perfect or change everything overnight. Small, consistent habits can make a difference over time.

๐Ÿ Your October challenge: Pick ONE healthy habit to focus on this month and see how consistently you can stick with it! ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿป

๐Ÿ‚ Fall can get busy FAST. ๐Ÿ‚

School schedules. Sports practices. Homework. Work deadlines. Appointments. Family activities. Weekend plans. Before you know it, your calendar is packedโ€”and taking care of yourself gets pushed to the bottom of the list.

But here's your reminder: your health deserves a spot on the calendar, too. ๐Ÿ’›

That might mean:

๐Ÿฅ— Making time for a nourishing meal
๐Ÿ’ง Keeping your water bottle nearby
๐Ÿšถ Getting outside for a walk
๐Ÿ˜ด Protecting your sleep
๐Ÿง˜ Taking a few minutes to slow down
๐Ÿ’ช Listening to what your body is telling you

You don't need hours of free time or a complete lifestyle overhaul. Sometimes, taking care of yourself starts with one small choice.

Don't wait until your schedule slows down. Make your health part of the schedule.

โœจ A Little Friday Reminder โœจ

You don't have to change everything at once to start feeling better.

Sometimes, progress looks like:
๐ŸŒฑ Choosing a nourishing meal
๐Ÿ’ง Drinking a little more water
๐Ÿšถ Taking a walk instead of staying on the couch
๐Ÿ˜ด Getting to bed a little earlier
๐Ÿง˜ Taking a few minutes to slow down
๐Ÿ’› Giving yourself some grace when things don't go perfectly

Your health is built through the small choices you make day after dayโ€”not through perfection.

So as you head into the weekend, remember: take care of yourself, celebrate your progress, and keep moving forward.

You've got this. ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿฅช Back-to-school season means busy mornings, packed schedules, and plenty of lunches to make! Instead of stressing over the โ€œperfectโ€ lunch, focus on building one that gives you and your family a little bit of everything. ๐Ÿ’ช

Try this simple formula:

๐Ÿฅฉ Protein โ€“ turkey, chicken, eggs, cheese, Greek yogurt, or beans
๐Ÿฅ• Fruits & veggies โ€“ berries, apples, carrots, cucumbers, grapes, or whatever your family enjoys
๐ŸŒพ Whole grains โ€“ whole-grain bread, wraps, crackers, or rice
๐Ÿฅ‘ Healthy fats โ€“ avocado, nuts or seeds (if allowed), nut butter, or hummus
๐Ÿ’ง Hydration โ€“ don't forget the water bottle!

And remember healthy eating doesn't have to be complicated. A simple lunch that your family will actually eat beats an elaborate lunch that comes home untouched. ๐Ÿ˜‰

๐ŸŽ What's one thing that ALWAYS makes it into your lunchbox?
