If you're scrolling through Facebook right now, take this as your sign to pause for just a moment and check in with your posture! 👀
Ask yourself:
- Are your shoulders creeping up toward your ears?
- Is your head leaning forward over your phone or computer?
- Are you slouching in your chair?
- Are both feet resting flat on the floor?
If you answered "yes" to any of these, don't worry—you’re not alone! Many of us spend hours each day sitting at a desk, driving, or looking down at our phones. Over time, these habits can place extra stress on the muscles, joints, and spine, which may contribute to neck pain, back pain, headaches, muscle tension, and stiffness.
Try this quick posture reset:
- Sit up nice and tall.
- Gently pull your shoulders back and down.
- Keep your ears lined up over your shoulders instead of letting your head drift forward.
- Engage your core muscles.
- Place both feet flat on the floor.
- Take a slow, deep breath and relax.
These small adjustments may seem simple, but making them throughout the day can help reduce strain on your body and support better movement.
Remember, good posture isn't about being perfectly straight every second of the day—it's about changing positions regularly, staying active, and being mindful of how you move.
Now we want to hear from you! Where do you spend most of your day?
