Those quiet living rooms, transformed into sacred delivery spaces, change you forever.
Stepping into these homes as a birth worker has taught me to be a humble servant. It’s about holding space, serving in the background, and trusting a Strength far greater than my own to carry a woman through. It is a profound privilege to love on mothers right where they feel safest, holding them in their most vulnerable moments and gently reminding them of God’s never-failing presence within those four walls.
And sometimes birth work teaches you that when labor is long and heavy, all we can do is fall to our knees and pray.
Over and over again, watching new life enter the world in the warmth of a home has shown me the undeniable miracles of God. There is nothing quite like hearing a first cry echo through a hallway.
To every mother who has trusted me into her home: thank you for letting me witness His grace at work!
