Jim is learning Spanish. And as you can see from his labeling on this package, he was learning new numbers as he wrote them out.

Jim está aprendiendo español. Y como se puede ver en la etiqueta de este paquete, estaba aprendiendo nuevos números mientras los escribía.

Still open despite the west side blackout? You bet! We've been chilling, thanks to some genius prep work by Christina and Jim's get-things-done vibe, and the rain's been our BFF. Let's turn this outage into a fantastic weekend; swing by anytime 10-6. Or give us a call at 217-588-8161 if you want to pop in and out real quick.

When a tornado impacted our own lives in 2023, we learned something we will never forget: rebuilding doesn’t happen alone. It happens because neighbors, friends, and complete strangers show up when they’re needed most.

Our hearts are with the staff, volunteers, animals, and supporters of Animal Protective League as they begin the difficult process of recovering from last night’s storm damage.

While we may not be able to solve every problem, we can all do something.

Roaring Lion Ranch & Retreat, Pet Sitting Plus, and C*D Botanicals will serve as an official donation collection station for APL. We will be accepting approved donation items and helping connect our community with the shelter’s recovery efforts.

We would also like to recognize the incredible people opening their homes to animals in need. Any approved APL foster family who presents foster paperwork will receive a FREE Farmhouse Bag as our way of saying THANK YOU for volunteering your time, compassion, home and effort to help displaced pets.

We know many families, businesses, and organizations are feeling the strain of today’s economy. None of us can do everything—but all of us can do something.

If each of us gives what we can, whether that’s supplies, monetary donations or gift cards, time, fostering, volunteering, or simply sharing this message, together we can make a difference.

Thank you for helping our community care for the animals and people who need us most right now.
