⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Reviews like this make our day!

We’re so thankful to hear about this young athlete’s experience with Dr. Tyler following a hockey injury.

One of the things we love about having Dr. Tyler at The Center for Natural Health is the additional experience he brings in sports injuries, functional movement, neurological evaluation, and helping athletes safely return to the activities they love.

In this case, Mom especially appreciated how thorough he was—from evaluating her son’s neurological function and alignment to walking them through a structured return-to-play protocol. And just as importantly, he took the time to talk with her son, connect with him, and make him feel comfortable throughout the process.

💚 “We appreciate the care and will be back for preventative treatments. Dr. Tyler is a great addition to the practice.”

We couldn’t agree more. 😊 Great job, Dr. Tyler!

📅 Thermography is coming to The Center for Natural Health!

We’re excited to have our thermography specialist back in the office on Thursday, August 27!

She only comes to our office about once a quarter, and we still have a few appointments available for this quarter.

🌿 What is Thermography?

Thermography is a non-invasive, radiation-free imaging technique that uses an infrared camera to measure temperature patterns on the surface of the body. These patterns can provide information about changes in circulation and areas of increased or decreased heat that may warrant further evaluation.

Many people choose thermography as an additional tool for breast health monitoring, inflammation patterns, circulation, and overall wellness tracking. It does not replace mammography or other diagnostic testing, but it can provide another piece of information to discuss with your healthcare provider.

✨ No radiation
✨ No compression
✨ No injections
✨ Completely non-invasive

If you’ve been wanting to have thermography done, this is a great opportunity since she won’t be back again until next quarter.

📞 Call The Center for Natural Health at 636-724-5757 to grab one of the remaining appointments!

Shout out to Dr. Tyler Dordan! 📣 🎉

Yesterday, Dr. Amy had her dad see Dr. Tyler because he has struggled with chronic knee and hip pain along with quite a bit of restriction in his movement.

Dr. Tyler used Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) - along with adjustments - to look at how his joints and muscles were working together. In simple terms, SFMA helps identify where the body isn’t moving correctly so you can determine whether the problem may be coming from a stiff joint, tight muscles, poor coordination, or an imbalance somewhere else.

After his visit, Dr. Amy’s dad said both his knee and hip felt better. Later that night, though, he was pretty sore and hurting again.

Then this morning, things changed.

He told Dr. Amy his legs felt stronger and his pain was significantly decreased. A little while later, she happened to run into him at the gym—doing leg machines! 😂 She asked how his knee was doing, and he said it was doing really well.

Then he smiled and said, “I even rode my motorcycle here today.”

That made Dr. Amy smile too.

It’s always encouraging to see someone regain movement and confidence, especially when pain has been limiting them for a long time. We’re excited to see how he continues to progress with Dr. Tyler’s care.

Everyone responds differently, of course, but this was a pretty great first visit for Dr. Amy’s dad. ❤️

WHERE EMOTIONS GET STORED

The Emotion–Organ Connection

In Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture theory, emotions and organ systems are closely connected. In our practice, we frequently see these same relationships show up during muscle testing and emotional work with our patients.

When we talk about an emotion being “stored,” we aren’t necessarily saying the emotion is physically sitting inside an organ. Rather, we are describing a pattern in which the body continues to respond to an emotional stress—and that stress may correspond with particular organs, muscles, meridians, or areas of the body.

Here are some of the emotion–organ relationships we commonly work with:

🧠 Head & Brain
Overthinking • Mental stress • Worry • Feeling overwhelmed

😬 Jaw & Neck
Anger • Frustration • Unspoken words • Difficulty expressing yourself

🫁 Lungs
Grief • Sadness • Difficulty letting go

❤️ Heart
Joy • Heartbreak • Emotional hurt • Connection

🌿 Liver & Gallbladder
Anger • Frustration • Resentment • Irritability

🌿 Spleen & Stomach
Worry • Overthinking • Rumination

🌿 Kidneys & Bladder
Fear • Insecurity • Feeling unsupported

☀️ Solar Plexus / Upper Abdomen
Stress • Worry • Feeling powerless or out of control

Lower Abdomen & Pelvis
Fear • Vulnerability • Emotional stress surrounding safety and security

🦶 Legs & Feet
Feeling stuck • Difficulty moving forward • Lack of support or grounding

WHY DOES THIS MATTER?

At The Center for Natural Health, we don’t look at emotional health and physical health as completely separate.

Using muscle testing, acupuncture principles, and other techniques, we can evaluate patterns of stress and determine whether an emotional component may be contributing to what the body is experiencing.

We’ve seen again and again in our practice that when the appropriate emotional stress is identified, the body can respond differently.

Our goal isn’t to eliminate normal emotions. Anger, fear, grief, sadness, and worry are all normal parts of being human.

The goal is to identify when the body may still be reacting to an emotional stress long after the original experience has passed—and help support a healthier, more balanced response.

Sometimes the symptom tells us where to look.
Muscle testing can help us ask the body a few more questions. 💚

A little sibling wellness visit today! 💚

Dash and his sister came in feeling a little run down and dealing with a cough, so we did a quick assessment to see how their bodies were responding.

One of the tools we use at The Center for Natural Health is muscle testing. It gives us additional information about how the body is responding to different stressors and helps guide us toward what may need a little extra support.

Based on what we found, we followed up with an NAET treatment focused on supporting their immune systems and helping their bodies get back into balance. 🌿

We love working with kids! They often think the muscle testing is pretty cool, and we love being able to take a gentle, individualized approach to supporting their bodies and helping them feel their best.

Now we’re hoping these two are back to feeling like themselves very soon! ❤️

Raise Your Frequency

Think higher.
Speak higher.
Move higher.
Surround yourself higher.
Believe higher.
Live higher.

What we surround ourselves with really does matter.

The people we’re around.

The conversations we participate in.

The things we watch and listen to.

The words we speak.

The thoughts we repeatedly allow ourselves to entertain.

Over time, those things influence our actions.

Our actions become habits.

Our habits help shape who we become.

And who we’re becoming ultimately influences where we’re going.

So maybe the question isn’t only:

“What do I want for my future?”

Maybe it’s…

“Who am I becoming today?” ❤️

There are SO many simple things on this list that we can do every day. ❤️

And most of them don’t cost anything.

Start your morning with gratitude.

Get outside in the sunlight.

Move your body.

Breathe.

Drink your water.

Eat foods that nourish you.

Protect your sleep.

Spend time in nature.

Laugh more.

Watch the words you speak.

Forgive.

Serve someone.

Pray.

Read something that grows you.

Do something difficult.

Keep the promises you make to yourself.

Live with purpose.

… And of course chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture help raise your frequency too! 😉

None of these things individually seem life-changing.

But imagine what happens when you consistently start stacking them together.

You don’t have to change everything overnight.

Pick ONE today. Then do it again tomorrow.

Which one do you need most right now?

What level of energy are you choosing today?

Notice it doesn’t ask, “What kind of day are you having?”

It asks what you’re choosing.

We all wake up some days feeling frustrated, worried, overwhelmed or discouraged. We’re human.

But we don’t necessarily have to stay there.

Maybe today the goal isn’t jumping all the way to joy or peace.

Maybe it’s simply moving from fear to courage.

From resistance to willingness.

From focusing on everything that’s wrong to finding one thing we can be grateful for.

We may not get to choose everything that happens today…

but we can be intentional about the energy we bring into it. ❤️

Choose consciously. Elevate intentionally. Lead powerfully.

There is such a difference between living from force and living from power.

Force says:
I have to.
I’m afraid.
I’m under pressure.
What if this doesn’t work?

Power says:
I have a purpose.
I have a choice.
I can see possibilities.
I can decide how I respond.

We can’t always control what happens around us, but we have a lot more control over our response than we sometimes realize.

“The turning point is a decision.”

Sometimes the biggest change isn’t changing our circumstances.

It’s changing the place within us that we’re responding from. ❤️

We often think about taking care of ourselves physically—what we eat, how much we exercise, supplements we take—but how often do we think about the emotional state we live in every day?

Fear, anger, guilt, shame… they can consume so much of our energy.

But look at what happens as we move toward courage, willingness, acceptance, love, joy and peace.

One of my biggest takeaways was that courage is the turning point.

Sometimes nothing around us has changed yet. We simply make the decision that fear isn’t going to be the thing leading us anymore.

And that one decision can begin changing everything. ❤️

What emotion do you think you spend the most time living in?
