Traditional PBMs rely on hidden spreads and complex contract loopholes to generate revenue that never appears on a line item. This opacity creates a silent drain on corporate resources while making it harder to manage benefits sustainably. Under the Consolidated Appropriations Act, executives now face strict fiduciary responsibilities to ensure pharmacy fees are reasonable, turning contract transparency into a legal mandate.

To protect your health plan and workforce, employers must shift to a procurement-focused strategy that eliminates spread pricing and secures data sovereignty. Partnering with a transparent vendor like SHARx aligns incentives and allows you to redirect captured margins into meaningful cost containment, like lower employee deductibles. Read our latest blog to discover how to pull back the curtain on your pharmacy contract: https://sharxplan.com/the-era-of-hidden-margins-navigating-opaque-pbm-contracts/

It was an incredible experience joining the Hilb Group InCap: Captive Leaders Circle at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway this past Wednesday. The energy was high as we dove deep into self-funded health captive concepts with a group of engaged professionals who are truly passionate about the future of healthcare. It is always rewarding to participate in forums where the focus is on innovation and finding better ways to serve the business community through smart, strategic health solutions.

A special shoutout to Ashley Poulin at the Hilb Group for her hard work and leadership in hosting such a seamless and successful event. We are also grateful for the fantastic collaboration with our partners at Coverys and Appro-Rx. At SHARx, we live by the philosophy of "doing what’s right for the right reasons," and it’s clear that this mission is shared by the industry leaders we connected with at the track.

We are looking forward to continuing these meaningful partnerships and driving more success together as we forge new paths in the industry.

Nothing beats a midweek reset like a cold treat and even better conversations. At SHARx, we believe that taking a moment to step away from our desks and connect as a team is what keeps our culture vibrant and our ideas fresh.

It was a great opportunity to take a break, grab a treat, and enjoy a little fun together, and we loved seeing everyone outside enjoying some delicious ice cream and good company.

The 2026 Roundstone’s Medical Captive Forum was an incredible experience, bringing together industry leaders to exchange ideas and shape the future of employer health plans. The SHARx team—including Nate Mueller, Gustav Helgesson, Lee Florez, David Watson, Jim Paulik, and Kyle Hammer—spent the week networking with a dedicated audience of brokers. These interactions focused on the collective mission of strengthening partnerships and discovering more effective ways to manage complex healthcare landscapes.

A major highlight of the event was the session "How Top Advisors Lead with Cost Containment," where Nate Mueller participated in a panel discussion focused on exploring innovative strategies for top advisors. The conversation sparked meaningful dialogue on how to move away from traditional industry norms in favor of more transparent, mission-driven solutions.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to connect with our team during the forum; if you are interested in learning more about how we are disrupting the status quo, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
