One of those wins that makes you stop and remember WHY you do what you do. 🩵
Imagine living with alpha-gal syndrome and working in the food industry. Every single shift, you're potentially exposed to cross-contamination with mammalian products. Something as simple as doing your job could mean hours of pain or a trip to the emergency room. That is a scary way to live.
This patient and I have been working together using the full SAAT (Soliman Auricular Allergy Treatment) protocol, along with additional homeopathic sprays, and their progress has been incredible.
During the first week with the needle in place, they experienced one minor reaction that lasted about five minutes and resolved on its own. Compare that to the hours of pain and emergency room visits that they had experienced previously.
And since then? Six weeks without a reported reaction to mammalian products. 🙌
Given their work environment, there is a possibility they have encountered cross-contamination along the way, but they haven't experienced any reactions. They're feeling good, starting to regain weight, and is now beginning the reintroduction phase of their care.
I am SO happy for them. ❤️
This is about so much more than a reaction or a food list. It's about feeling better, rebuilding confidence around food, and having hope for a better quality of life.
This is why I love what I do at River + Root Wellness. Helping people find a path forward when they've been struggling with something that impacts their everyday life is incredibly rewarding.
Every person's experience is different, and results are never guaranteed. Alpha-gal is serious, and any food reintroduction should be approached carefully with appropriate medical guidance.
But today, we're celebrating a win. And it's a pretty big one. 🌿
