Doug is back to doing what he loves!
Doug, a resident at The Carriages of Rochester, experienced a significant decline after an illness and subsequent fall. He needed support with mobility, communication, daily activities and more, leading to referrals for physical, occupational and speech therapy.
With a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach, Doug made incredible progress.
Today, he is fully independent with his daily activities, walking unassisted, navigating his living environment safely, and enjoying greater socialization. He has also successfully completed all three therapy programs.
But the best part? Doug is back to the activities that bring him joy.
He's back to personal training at the YMCA twice a week and hitting the driving range with his wife.
We're so proud of Doug and all he's accomplished! His story is a great reminder that with the right support, progress can mean more than improving function—it can mean getting back to living life and doing the things you love.
Way to go, Doug! 👏
