It's the question we hear more than almost any other, and the honest answer is: you probably have more options than you think.

Isaiah Gladwell, our Executive Director of Operations, breaks down Cooperative 360, our program built specifically to find someone else to help cover the cost of care before you ever pay out of pocket. We contract with every government payer in the state of Missouri, plus workers' comp and long-term care insurance providers.

Our philosophy is simple: paying out of pocket should be your last resort, not your first assumption. Let us help you find the funding sources you didn't know you had access to.

Cooperative's 40th birthday party is Thursday, November 19th, from 12pm to 3pm. Save this date to celebrate 40 years of caring for families across Greater St. Louis!

Care Team employees (and your clients/patients on your caseload that day) are invited to join us!

"It's a covered benefit." Those four words trip up more families than almost anything else in home care.

Here's what's actually happening: when a Medicare Advantage plan (UHC, Blue Cross Blue Shield, any of them) tells you home care is covered, they mean something very specific, not what you're picturing.

If you're already receiving skilled nursing or therapy through home health, they'll pay for a bath aid to stop by while that care is happening. That's it. That's the "covered benefit."

What they won't pay for is the long-term, one-on-one help with daily living that most families actually need: someone there consistently, someone who knows your person, someone who shows up for the day-to-day of it.

Knowing the difference before you need the care saves you from a very hard conversation later. If you're trying to figure out what coverage you actually have (or don't), we're happy to help you sort through it.
