As part of IHN’s Community Care Hub Learning Series, join us for Healthcare Partners 101 for Community-Based Organizations!

Many community-based organizations want to partner with healthcare organizations but may have limited visibility into who pays for healthcare and how funding decisions are made.

This webinar will introduce participants to the healthcare partner landscape, with a focus on Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Medicare Advantage plans, hospital systems, and the growing investment in community-based services to improve health outcomes.

Participants will gain a foundational understanding of these organizations, what drives their decision-making, and why partnerships with community-based organizations are becoming increasingly important.

September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month, a nationwide observance dedicated to increasing understanding of sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait and drawing attention to the continued need for research, treatment, education, and support.

Sickle cell disease is an inherited blood disorder that can cause serious and lifelong health complications. Throughout September, we recognize those living with sickle cell disease, their families and caregivers, and the advocates and health professionals working to improve care and quality of life.

The BLOOM Research Study is seeking pregnant women and new parents to participate in a program designed to support families during pregnancy and a baby’s first year.

Eligible participants will use the BLOOM mobile app, meet with a coach through personalized video calls, and complete surveys about their experience. Compensation is available for eligible participants.

You may qualify if you are:
🌼 Currently pregnant and at least 13 weeks along OR have a baby less than 6 months old
🌼 18 years or older
🌼 Able to access a smartphone

Grief isn't always caused by the loss of a loved one. Sometimes, grief can come from a change in abilities, like after a life-changing illness.

Many people with long-term symptoms after COVID infection experience grief due to new fatigue, brain fog, and difficulty being active. Talking to people who understand can help.

Community Health Workers (CHWs) are vital members of the IHN team and the driving force behind programs like RE-LINK, the CHW Workforce Initiative, our Tornado Recovery Initiative, and the new HOPE Initiative.

As IHN CHW Virginia Moore shares: “Being a CHW often means being a voice for those who feel voiceless while providing them with the resources, support, and tools they need to advocate for themselves and speak on their own behalf.”
