Approximately 4,000 lawfully present immigrants in the St. Louis region are expected to lose health coverage following recent changes to Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Behind that number are families, children, and individuals facing serious health challenges who depend on access to care.

In a new opinion piece for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, IHN President & CEO Andwele Jolly shares the human impact of these policy changes, the contributions of immigrants to our communities, and how IHN and its partners are working to strengthen pathways to care for our immigrant and refugee neighbors.

The Accelerator will focus on four key areas:

1️⃣ Training providers and addressing care deserts
2️⃣ Expanding postpartum care through 12 months
3️⃣ Advancing paid leave for all
4️⃣ Increasing access to low- and no-cost care
