❤️⛰️Remember, when life gets tough, you can always look to nature for strength & Resilience
When you spend time in nature, in a way that feels safe and comfortable, your body has a physical response.
A recent study indicates “statistically significant differences” in various stress markers.
“...including decreased heart rate, salivary cortisol, blood pressure, and sympathetic nervous system activity, and increased parasympathetic nervous system activity,”
But its not just physical. Countless studies prove that nature also eases mental stress, anxiety, provides cognitive and creative renewal and can promote an overall sense of wellbeing.
We feel nurtured by nature.
When we have a regular nature connection practice, it can actually help us feel more connected to ourselves, feel more connected to the Earth (and part of nature instead of existing on top of it) and also feel more connected to others.
All of which can lead us to finding more meaning in life, help promote a sense of belonging, and spawn feelings of hope.
All key elements of building resilience.
