Blue Chalcedony (SiO2) - When low-temperature, silica-rich waters permeate bedrock, microcrystalline fibrous structures of quartz occur, forming chalcedony (or any chalcedony or agate, really). You may notice a similarity to blue lace agate, but the difference between this and blue lace agate is that blue lace agate is comprised of multiple layers of chalcedony, whereas blue chalcedony solidified at a uniformed rate, thus not creating layers. The blue color is attributed to the interference of light between the individual microcrystals - this is known as ‘scattering’. Geologically speaking, the cool part about this is because of the difference in spacing between the crystals, the hardness can differ between specimens.

The light being scattered between these microcrystals impacts our energy field at just the right time. This is the stone of Mother Mary in the 3D. It is showing us how to have grace under pressure, courage when we are left with very little choice, and peace of mind when the world seems to be completely losing it around us. It is also connecting us to the angels through its light blue hue, which makes sense when you think about it since Mother Mary is considered the Queen of the Angels. Affecting the throat chakra, it gives us those words we so seek for when we need them the most, as well as reminding us that it is okay to speak up, you are safe to do so.

This, my dear readers, is one of the purest forms of love from the earth. Meditate with it, let the blue wave of energy wrap you up to help calm you and keep you safe during this time, and remember, settling your own energy will help those around you.

Crystal Wisdoms | Happy Friday and Eclipse Season!

Wow. This eclipse season is something else. This crystal surprised me, as I haven’t shown her on here in quite a while. I love it for what we are experiencing though. Sometimes we do need that iron curtain of Black Tourmaline within the magic of white moonstone to set who we leave in our lives straight.

White Moonstone with Black Tourmaline [(NaAlSi3O8 + KAlSi3O8) + (NaFe3Al6Si6O18(BO3)3(OH)3OH)] - As recently experienced a full moon, I figured it was time to get to know another goddess stone. Forming from layers of albite and orthoclase, this specimen happened to grow with a gap in the rock, letting hot, mineral-rich liquid seep in and form black tourmaline. This can usually be seen in areas with hydrothermal activity.

This is such an interesting combo. You see, there is white moonstone, representing the heavens, while black tourmaline comes in representing the earth. The white moonstone working towards your crown chakra while the black tourmaline works with your root chakra. To me, anyway, it feels very goddess-like - grounded to the earth but still able to work with the heavens.

This stone comes in to connect us to our dreams, those we hold so dear when we work with the lunar phases. As an added bonus, it brings in a protective layer in the form of black tourmaline, keeping our dreams and us safe from outside negative energies. As you work with it today, picture yourself in a beautiful moonlit aura that is impenetrable, working through those things you want to make happen as well as taking advantage of the energies to “let go” of that that no longer serves you. After all, it is making room for that which you wish to manifest into your life - embrace the decluttering aspect of the full moon energies.

The shape of the stone was done on purpose, so the energy radiates in all directions when you work with it. May you have a beautiful experience with this goddess energy in the 3D form.

Carnelian (SiO2 + Fe) - Born from parent rock of silicon (SiO2) origins being melted again by volcanic processes, this liquified rock is then poured into fissures and cavities, solidifying into something new, with new inclusions. In this case, iron (Fe), giving it this range of beautiful reds and oranges.

What better representation of breaking us down and building us up than carnelian? When we rise from the ashes, we come with a force to be reckoned with. This is the stone of the sacral chakra, bringing forth that courage and enthusiasm to make your goals a reality. During this time, I certainly wasn’t expecting this, but that is the beauty of today.

Meditate with this, feel that warmth in your sacral area, for your sacral chakra is letting you know it is time. Alleviate those old wounds, and let the blessings come forward.

Crystal Wisdoms | Happy Friday!

Today's stone came forward to help us with our pasts, I suspect something many people look forward to working on. But as much as looking in our past can be distracting and sometimes makes us want to stay in the past, healing it is crucial for moving forward in a healthy manner. Stromatolite came today to help us do exactly that. Here's to a wonderful future, and as always, I am here if you have any questions.

Stromatolite (CaCO3 + Fe2O3 +SiO2 + miscellaneous) - seeing as these are accretionary forms made by cyanobacteria (AKA blue-green algae), stromatolite's origins begin with the very beginnings of earth. Cyanobacteria are what were responsible for something called "The Great Oxidation Event" - the event that skyrocketed evolution of life on earth due to their use of photosynthesis. And this bacteria still exists, 2.4 billion years later. They will form layers seen here in this specimen, eventually forming a hard rock of mainly limestone with various other inclusions, depending on the location.

For the spiritual side, stromatolite focuses on not only the Earth Star and root chakras, but also the heart chakra. There is literature stating it works on aligning all of the chakras, but if you listen to it closely, you see this varies from person to person. The general consensus with it seems to be aligning the earth star and root chakras helps in one feeling at peace and balanced, something we will need during this lingering eclipse energy. This, in turn, could help with the other chakras.

One of the main focuses for this stone, however, is its connection to ancient healing, as in your past - may it be past lives, your past in this life, or your ancestral lineage. Stromatolite laser focuses on helping one understand any rough lessons, and to accept life and yourself with an open heart. Healing your past helps heal future lineages.

So as you meditate today, feel not only those roots at the bottom of your feet take firm hold into the earth, but also feel your past bubbling up to facilitate healing. With eclipse energy, this will be so helpful in lessening that chaotic feeling people typically sense.

Amethyst (SiO2 + Fe3++) - As with all amethyst, this one was formed with the basic ingredients of a pocket in newly formed rock, silica-enriched water, some ferric iron, heat and a dash of gamma radiation. But instead of The Hulk forming, we get this beauty. In this specimen, the heat and gamma radiation was high enough to create this beautiful, intense, deep purple color.

We take this stone for granted - it can be found almost anywhere, in any shop, even in tourist traps. But how funny that the earth has made something so readily available that helps with transmutation via the Violet Flame? Spirit can have a sense of humor.

Aiming for the crown chakra, amethyst works its way through, with the help of Archangel Zadkiel, transmuting and helping you step forward much more confidently in your life. I have a secret for this specimen in particular, however - its original bedrock is moss agate, and is the base of the back of this heart. So while you might think you will feel a bit airy fairy after working with it, this one will actually help keep you grounded as you open up and let transmutation happen.

So take your time with her today, feel yourself in the center of it and letting it work through every molecule in your body. There is magic in the air, and real change is happening. Let it.
