As soon as you’re told you can’t have carbs, don’t you want them even more? 🥐🥯🍪 Maybe you weren’t craving a donut but as soon as your diet tells you you can’t have it...it’s all you can think about!
⠀
When you feel like you “shouldn’t” eat things .. you’ll want to eat them 10x more!
⠀
But when you give yourself permission to eat ALL the foods you want, they become just like every other food you never think about.
⠀
🥦🍗Do you daydream over broccoli & grilled chicken? I’ll bet my ass... No!!! Why?! Cause you’ve never restricted yourself of them - you know you can have more later!
⠀
It’s human nature to want what we can’t have. When you label foods “good” or “bad” or attach moral judgment to carbs or sugar, you put them on a pedestal & deem them special!
⠀
Look friends, dieting will always keep you struggling because of the self-imposed mental prison that keep you stuck in a cycle of restriction, deprivation, eventually “cheating,” and then the guilt sets in before starting the diet merry-go-round all over again.
⠀
Trying to eat “perfectly” is impossible, so DUH... you’re going to feel defeated when chasing an unattainable goal. We (Humans) aren’t perfect, so there’s no such thing as a perfect eating. When there are no rules to be broken, there is no guilt to be had.
⠀
Watch what happens when you ditch your all-or-nothing, extremist mentality.. eventually you’ll also ditch the endless cycles of frustration 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
⠀
REMEMBER: you can always have it later. There will ALWAYS be more.
