The answer isn’t always eating less.

Have you ever tried to cut calories in hopes that it would help you “tone up” a little bit?

Or maybe you tried keto for a month or two because you thought that cutting carbs would finally be the game-changer?

I’m here to tell you that your body is not a math problem.

As a Registered Dietitian that works with a lot of college athletes, CrossFitters, and runners, here’s what I’ve seen work best:

--More calories (especially carbs!)
--Increased variety of foods
--Focused resistance training
--Sport specific accessories
--Stress management
--Additional sleep/recovery

If you'd like to learn more, I just finished a NEW masterclass on Metabolic Adaptation that explains this in more detail.

No two athletes are built the same.

If you’re struggling with celiac, dairy-free, or vegan options while training to be a high-performance athlete, you’re not alone.

You’re probably used to scrolling the internet and seeing ideas but nothing that’s actually tailored to you and your specific needs.

That’s what this post is for. To help you start to navigate GI issues, food allergies, and dietary restrictions, so you can still achieve success in your sport.

Not only do I help busy athletes with dietary restrictions build individualized nutrition plans that actually work for them...
I AM an athlete with dietary restrictions and a chronic condition that affects my food choices day in and day out.

Ready to hop on a strategy session and build a plan that will help you finally get from A to B?
I’m here and ready, too.

It’s not always obvious.

Disordered eating can look different for every athlete, and unfortunately, sports culture often rewards these behaviors before questioning them or providing support.

That’s what makes it so hard to recognize.

If this topic resonates with you, know that support exists, and it’s okay to ask for help!
Reach out when you’re ready for a plan that works for you! 💕

Are you a CrossFitter wondering why you always feel exhausted?

A lot of athletes I coach are accidentally sabotaging their performance because wellness culture convinced them these habits are normal:

‼️skipping meals
‼️ living off caffeine
‼️always trying to “eat cleaner.”
‼️ training harder instead of recovering smarter

The problem?

Your body doesn’t care how disciplined your habits look on Instagram.

It cares whether you’re fueled, recovered, and supported enough to perform.

High performers know that recovery is important too.

Which one of these habits do you see most often in your gym? 👇

This is important!!

If you don’t know where to start, the best advice I can offer is to hire a coach! ‼️

It’s common to hear people say, “I know what to do, so I don’t need a coach.”

But it’s about more than just knowing what to do.

It’s about knowing how to do it again and again. 🔁

Knowing how to create systems to stay consistent.

Knowing how to break free from old habits and fuel the way that’s actually best for YOUR body, and not the way someone online is saying.

And luckily, that’s exactly what I do. 👋🏼

I help busy athletes improve performance through 1-1 sports nutrition coaching. Let’s start making the adjustments that work for YOU and your life.
